Columbus, OH - Page 6 - Venues & Communities -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

Still pulling in 30-40 buy ins every day of the week and their guaranteed tourneys on the weekend have never needed the overlay. I can't speak for their cash games. I know that's WAY down but the tourneys are going strong.

Hey folks, come on up to Mansfield in March and play. He's got some good things going on. I know you won't want to come up as often as you did in Columbus since you're about an hour away, but it should be some fun tournies.

I actually came down to CBus to play Gemini, and happen to live in Mansfield, so I'm obviously happy. Mansfield really had nothing for the most part.

Shark tank is now hosting a 8/16 horse game on wednesday nights starting at 6:30. No rake just the normal use fee.

Really sad that Gemini closed. (I lived a about 10 minutes away.)

With that, where does a 19 year old play live poker now?

Shark Tank is 21+. Any ideas?

Yeah it was the first place I checked out and was disappointed to find it 21+.

I am also upset Gemini closed. I tried out Sharktank, I liked it, seemed like a lot of fish play there. I just didn't like the dealers as well. Alot of times they seemed lost and didn't know the rules very well. I'll probably play there again sometime next week.

Any truth to Gemini being robbed?

If the dj from that thread is who I think it is, he knows who I am (or at least recognizes me from the Tank any time we sit at a table together whether he knows my name or not) but he probably doesn't know that I post here. Some guy in 1/2 just owned me lol. I had not played a hand yet, I raise late pos after his limp and a few people call along with him. K97cc flop he check calls. Turn =K97cc7 he check calls river K97cc7K. He checks I fire a third bullet and he calls with Q9hh. Lol me. I am like 0 for my lifetime with these kinds of bluffs.

Just wanted to say, Gemini reopened about an hour north in Mansfield Ohio.

I went to the first tournament which was held Saturday (3/30), and I think about 60 people showed up for either cash, or the tournament. I think the actual tournament had 40 people in it. There might have been more people because it was packed.

Very clean, well ran, I have to admit that I was surprised at turn out for a smaller city. Very nice tourney structure too. I will at least be going every Sunday. Don't know if any Columbus Gemini regs on here went?

I haven't been down in a while. What time does the game usually get going? How many tables do they get? It seemed like once the casino opened, the cash game dried up, so I stopped going.

Also it seemed mostly filled with regs and few fish, so I saw little value in it. Maybe I'll give it a whirl this Friday.

Friday they try to get the cash started earlier than most days. 3pm. I can't say if it'll start exactly at 3 but the last few weeks of them opening earlier on Mondays and Fridays have definitely at least gotten off.

I'd call before showing up, although I fully expect there to be at least one table going. On Monday there was at least 5K on the table by like 8pm. A few "regs" and a few "fish" if you will. I think people are realizing how expensive it is to play at the Casino, although it's a shame a few of the big gamblers haven't been seen at the Tank since October.
