Since I live in CO Springs I'm tempted to enter the $500 CSPC, but it would suck if no one enters.

Should be a decent turnout for the main event. I saw they had 49 entries last year, 48 the year before and they are running $100 qualifiers both weeks leading up to it. Best of luck man if you make it!

Is anyone interested in playing an 8-16 LHE game with a full kill this Saturday or Sunday at Ameristar? Ideally I'd like to get about a dozen interested. If this weekend is too short of notice, then maybe next weekend. Please reply to this thread if interested. Thanks!

How was the registration situation for the MSPT main? Were people who showed up before start time being placed on alternate lists like the kickoff events?

For the Thursday Day 1A there were no alternates at start time. I believe there were 70-80 people registered at Noon when we started. Looking at Bravo right now (1:20 pm) it shows 107 entrants for today (Friday Day 1B) so safe to assume no alternates today either. Saturday for an MSPT normally could have alternates at the start time but with the weather I am not sure they will have an alternate list tomorrow either. HPT is worse than MSPT as far as alternates go as it is a higher buyin that attracts more traveling pros.

Sounds manageable, thanks for the info.

Good luck to all those playing

Just moved to Denver this week from upstate NY. Had a chance to play in Black Hawk a little bit when I was out here last year and remember some people talking about home games, but wasn't planning on living here at that time so didn't pursue it any further. wondering if anyone knows of any (1/2, 2/5, 5/10 nl or plo) games closer to the Denver area (living in Lodo but have a car/uber or what not.) PM me if you want, and sorry in advance if this is against the rules.

So I heard the Gates has six more tables "upstairs" that are waiting to be Gaming approved for tournament use. That will be a big improvement. Anybody else have concrete info?

I played with him for about an hour but didn't know it was him until after I moved to a different game and someone pointed it out to me. He VPIP'd less than I would have expected for someone with his net worth but more than an average 30 player.

what is the reward program like at ameristar? $1 an hour or do you get points as well? is it dependent on stake at all?

haven't played limit in like 6 years but put in a few 30/60 sessions there this past week, seems like a pretty fun group of regs

Poker comps do not depend on stakes. You get $1/hr that you can use for food, hotel, Starbucks etc. I believe you can get that back in cash at 50 cents on the dollar but I'm not certain about that. Tip the food runners well and they bring you real flatware and will get a supervisor to sign for your food if you're short on comps.

Finally, there is some points system based on hours of play, once you play enough hours in a year (600? 750? I can't recall as I'm never close) you reach the next level that gets you get access to the Star Club, which means free food and better liquor.

It's supposed to snow on Saturday. Of course it snows on the CSPC 3 Main Event...

I'm going to try and drive to the bus stop and take the bus to the casino. There's no way in hell I'm driving there directly in icy conditions. It's scary as hell driving there in good weather at night with all those twists and turns along the mountains.

Be safe man! I completely agree. I got stuck driving back in the snow on Thursday after the tournament broke. It wasn't a heavy storm but those roads are not in the best shape to begin with. As of last week they were already on pace for 20 or so entries just from the qualifiers. I couldn't get Saturday off but if my top 10 points hold up this week I'll be up there Sunday for the $5K freeroll. Best of luck if you do play the main event!
