Any idea on what the guarantee is for the $1100 CSPC main in a few weeks is? Don't see one listed on the golden gates site

I don't believe they put a guarantee on their CPC events but usually a estimated prize pool for the Kickoff, Main, and SHR. The last three main events (May 16', Aug 16' & Dec 16') had prize pools between $230K - $260K

IIRC, you play down till 10% of the field remains and then the prize pool is split evenly.

Played in the deep stack on Saturday. On break I went up to the second floor to see the progress on the additional poker room. 5 of the 6 tables were done, and a monitor/screen was also up. Looks ready for the next large sell out event.

As far as I know, they don't.

which is the easiest casino to get comped rooms at, and how much play does one have to put in?

Play 6 hours at the isle or lady luck and get a comp'd room from sunday-thursday. You have to use the room on the same night.

Making my first trip there, middle of next week. Any chance I'll find small stakes O/8 or stud/8?

Agree on Stud8. A 5/10-ish O8 game will pop up at Golden Gates a few times a year but no real way to predict when it would happen. I'd recommend starting an interest list and hope for the best. Depending on the day, I'd be down to play. Ameristar runs a 2-5-100 spread O8 game on weekends. Certainly not small stakes, but it's the only regular non-holdem game in town currently.

Thank you!

(Now if only someone in the Deadwood thread would answer the same question!)

2/5/100 plo8 runs at ameristar on weekends typically (were 2 tables on friday); probably pretty unlikely to run during the middle of the week

Just went to BH+CC for the first time. That drive was bananas! How do you guys do it?

Casino workers, do you live up in those hills? Commute from Denver by bus?

After the 500th time, it's all a blur.

Even in the snow it's not that bad...It just takes forever. Everyone goes slow and if you get stuck behind a bus, forget about it!

I didn't play, just drove through. More interested in looking at mountains. But I knew the BH/CC set-up was unique, and wanted to see it.

GF: Don't you want to go inside?
ME: I already know what the INSIDE of a casino looks like!

I can drive to black hawk 3 different ways with my eyes closed. Seriously sometimes I pull into the garage and have no idea how I even got there.

I drove to Cripple Creek at night... I HATED IT. So many twists and turns, people keep their high beams on, and obviously there's only one lane so super narrow path.

I just take the bus now whenever I go and sleep. It's worth the peace of mind.
