We got a crazy pineapple game going last night at Bally's. Ran from about 7:30pm until after I left at 1am. Everyone had a blast and folks seemed more interested and engaged that a typical NLH. Also I was told by the dealers a stud8/Omaha 8 rotation game went last Thursday. We're hoping to make this a regular thing every week. If you feel inclined to play some mixed games, plan to come up to Bally's on Thursday evenings. We talked about trying a Razz game next, but we could do a rotation of HORSE games or just flop games played as PL or NL. I'll call and get a mixed games interest list going for next Thursday. If you see it on Bravo, please call and add your name.

One thing about crazy pineapple: when is the appropriate time to discard your 3rd card? Do you think players should discard when it is their action on the flop, or should the betting round be completed before everyone discards at the same time? We played it by the latter rule, and it seems more advantageous in knowing how many opponents will be going onto the turn (e.g. decide whether you want to keep a pair or go for a big draw, which may be better to win vs a larger field)

Apologies, after talking with staff, Friday evenings are better so as to not interfere with the weekly omaha game!

I don’t believe I’ve seen or heard of a rule that mandates exactly when you have to pitch your discard other than needing to do so before the turn is dealt. I do think it’s best to wait until action is complete for the reasons you stated.

I’d be all for a HORSE game.

If you would like to play a HORSE, crazy pineapple game, or dealer's choice (that isn't JUST variants of Omaha), come on up to Bally's Friday late afternoon or early evening and let's get it going. We've had successful games before and it was a lot of fun! If there aren't any lists started yet, start them and folks will join.

There is apparently a Bally's Poker Open starting soon and on Wednesday the schedule says "2,3,4 Mixed Flop Games". Does anyone know what that means?

Poker Atlas has this info: 1st level NLHE, 2nd level Crazy Pineapple, 3rd level PLO. Rinse and repeat every 3 levels.

What’s the rake structure for 5/T+?

Does 5/T play with a straddle?

Hey, I'm looking to work with 1-2 Blackhawk regs to get some sports bets in on the kiosks for my group. Ideally someone who's there most nights. DM me if interested.

Believe all rooms are 10%, $5 max for house rake plus $2 for BBJ/Promo drops

How are the games here speaking 2-5 and 1/3? Pretty interesting match the stack.

It looks like there is a 5 night limit for hotel stays in Black Hawk. Can I stay 5 nights at the Monarch, move to Ameristar for one night, and then stay 3 more nights at Monarch?
