I'm not convinced CT will die completely. This might sound judgmental, but I don't intend it that way at all: the three worst players I saw during all my trips to Charles Town were local to that immediate area. (I'm talking thick drawl and overalls local.) I'm not sure they're going to chase the sharks over to MD Live. And I'd imagine there are others around there too.

No question that Mike is doing a bang-up job at present and he certainly will kick CT's ass when it comes to customer service (at LEAST in the short run). And that means that people will choose MDL over CT. Maybe two or three years down the road, we'll reach an equilibrium that both rooms (and Nat'l Harbor, Perryville, and Baltimore) will be locals joints with higher traffic during tournament series.

All u sharks can go to MD Live. Us donks are staying here at CTown.

Looks like CT had a Good day (16 tables), on a midweek day despite, ML's opening.
As Bad as CT is at running a Poker room, and them being selfish as **** with comps, I don't think that they are dead. Time will tell.

CT at 8 tables right now.

MD Live at 43 with large waiting lists.

Be interesting to see the breakdown 1 month from now.

I am going to miss the beautiful drive over. Hope you guys keep reasonable action over there for your sake.

How many dealers left to go to MD Live?
Are they getting replacements?

The action has been amazing. Much higher ratio of better players left for MD live. Less games to choose from but no bad tables (at least at 2/5)

This is good to hear! Competition is what drives venues to improve, so if CT remains relevant the community will benefit.

Damn, I should have went there today, I dropped my 3 buy-ins $200 each, in an hour and a half, at the 2/2 PLO. Dude in the 1 seat Lost 3 $300's and a $500, in less than $45 minutes, Lost the $500, 3 minutes after he got it.
