I tend to agree. CT structures do not let you survive any period of being card dead. A longer structure usually allows a patient and disciplined player to weather at least one, and sometimes a couple of periods when the cards go dormant. To do well at CT tournaments you must get hot and stay hot, or just plain suck out multiple times.
I have tried to play (successfully only a couple of times) due to the soft fields, but have decided that between the lost time at the cash games and the bingo nature of CT tournaments, I am swearing them off for the time being.....unless it is a special event with 200+ entries or they are juicing the pot much like they did for the President's Day tournament where they added $25k and HPO seats.
