If you will be crossing the border to the better side of Niagara Falls, then there is Fallsview Casino for 10+ tables of 2/5 and 5/10 on weekends, or Casino Niagara for 1/2. You can phone ahead at toll-free 1-888-325-5788.

Hopefully, the WPT Fallsview tournaments will be announced by the time you arrive. NEVER play any tournaments at Seneca since you will be ripped off 30% of ANY winnings.

Oh and for ANYONE going to both fallsview and niagara - CALL AHEAD. Nothing sucks more than having to wait 2 hours for a seat on a weekend.
^^^ This is flat out wrong. Neither Casino Niagara or Fallsview ever spread a limit game of any kind....never ever.

CN is 1/2 NL only, never any other games
FV is 2/5 NL and bigger

They used to spread limit. I have played 6/12 at Fallsview and seen 2/4 limit at Niagara. Keep it in mind this was 5 or 6 years ago...

More like 8-10 years ago.

FV runs PLO every now and then.....usually during the FV classic.

Seneca was running 1-3 PLO today, 200-500 buy-in... Full table with a list all day. Tuesdays they run the bigger game. 5-10 PLO, 1000-3000 buy-in. Call (716)278-6300 for details...

A friend of mine used to play quite a bit at Seneca Niagara and I remember him mentioning a 5T game several times, but I don't know how often it runs. I saw it running the couple of times I've been there, and those times were always on the weekend.

It doesn't make any sense for Canadians to buy into a tournament where even a min-cash would be taxed away 30%.

This is also "flat out wrong" because I played 2/5 NL at CN on 9/25/14.

I think I would have remembered crossing an international border to play poker. Yes, I played 2/5 NL at Casino Niagara.

You can cross the border and still not play at CN.

LOL I thought Seneca Niagara and Casino Niagara were the same thing.

Nope.. Seneca Niagara is on the US side.. big glass building with colorful waterfall lights. Casino Niagara and Fallsview are both on the Canadian side.

If they do, it's not on their website.

Seneca Buffalo Creek just did a $130 million expansion but did not add a poker room. I'm frustrated by this as I know a lot of local players, good and bad, who would fill that place up. I don't know the reasoning behind it other than guessing that they're afraid it would take some of their regulars away from the Niagara Falls room. http://www.senecabuffalocreekcasino.com/new-expansion

Is the current room overloaded at all hours?

Seneca Buffalo Creek and Seneca Niagara are 30 min away from each other. If a poker room went up in Buffalo Creek the most likely thing that would happen would be pulling players from Niagara. Basically they'd just be diluting their own player pool for minimal gain

Ive never been to Buffalo Creek since it doesnt have a poker room but I imagined it had more foot traffic. Why not close Niagara and only have a room at Buffalo Creek? Isnt Niagara in stiff competition with the 2 rooms on the Canadian side?

It's not that simple because the Seneca Indian Nation has contracts and hard agreements with the state.

The Niagara Falls location has done well overall. Many (most?) folks don't like the hassle of crossing the border and exchanging currency.

So the only choice to play poker is Seneca Niagara? Any other casinos/rooms near buffalo or towards lockport?
