I am going to be in Biloxi for a night later this month. For the record, would some please post a rundown of the rooms, games spread, and your opinion on the quality of the room/games/etc.?

Much appreciated, thanks.

Anyone who has been to or is a regular at the Hollywood in Bay St. Louis mind telling me about the poker room? How many tables, when/what do they spread. Are there tournaments?

Hmm, and the Silver Slipper too, though this appears to be trashy and not worth the time? Would take me a lot more time to get there anyway.

Last i knew of Hollywood didnt even have a poker room and if u lived next door the drive to the SS wouldnt be worth it. Poker room at the IP is about as big as the entire casino at SS.

The 4 rooms ive been to.
Beau...high dollar , big games
I.P. Smaller games, usually better players, more locals than BR.
Hard Rock. Small stakes, more tourists ,sometimes not many games running.
Boomtown..small stakes, older local regular crowd. I play 7 card stud 4/8/12 with 6 or 7 local blue hairs there every once in awhile. They will look at you very funny if you ck raise. Do it twice and the game will break...

I was just wondering about the action in the Biloxi area. I am going to be wrapping up my doctorate and only have to wait for my comittee to finish evaluating me in spring and am making a little four or five month poker excursion before I have to go into the real world a get a big person job. I have checked out the Biloxi Gulfport forum and it doesnt appear to be updated or have the information I need. I am primarilily interested in 1/2 no limit and occasionally 2/5, also PLO, PLO 8, and limit high low. Im from Florida and am not real familiar with the casinos there. I guess these are the things I'm looking for

Buy in at no limit up 1/2, 2/5, and 5/10

Action at each of the casinos (or the casinos you know best)

The limits and how many games normally run on weekdays and weekend. If you have information on the types of players and games that would be wonderful.

I am not just interested in hold em, I also want to know which casinos run the best non hold games, there limits and what days they normally run.

Weekly or monthly regular tournaments.

Any help that you guys could give would be awesome and thank you in advance.

FLA likely has greater game selection. Biloxi is a small market.

Not sure there would be much other than Hold Em. I have played Beau Rivage and IP but didn't see anything other than Hold Em.

I was just visiting, but it seemed like some decent 1/2 NLHE and maybe 1 table of 2/5 in all of Biloxi most of the time. The Harrahs property there doesn't even HAVE a poker room, which is true of some of the other casinos as well.

Pretty sure Beau Rivage is the only room that has it and when I was there during the WSOPC, I couldn't find a game anywhere (the Beau Rivage game ran one day but only for an hour or so and I missed it). Good luck.

I was in Biloxi for a week last March, and IP had a 4-8 mix game that started up Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8am. The rotation was Omaha H/L, Stud H/L, Omaha H/L, Holdem H/L.

Hey, anyone here know management at Beau Rivage?

I'd like to explore the potential for a significant charity tournament there. We are involved with restoration of longleaf pine (the native ecosystem, was 93 million acres now down to 3 million) , particularly in Southern MS.

There are a ton of wealthy landowners involved with longleaf and would love to put together a biggish fundraising tournament with a couple/few celebrities. I think it could be a real draw but need to connect with someone at the Beau.

If anyone's going to the big game there I'd appreciate any suggestions on contacts, or if you know folks who work there.

Would be a great thing both for Longleaf restoration and the poker room. Introduce lots of large/wealthy landowners to the room, who may play for fun but never been to the Beau. It's such a nice room I'm sure they'd enjoy it!

Going to Mississippi Apr 5th to visit my brother. He is picking me up at the Jackson airport that Friday and we are heading straight down to Biloxi for that night and Saturday night. Is the Beau the best place to stay considering everything... poker, nightlife, dining etc.. Also, it was mentioned ITT that the 5/10 plays super deep. Does Beau Rivage ever have a capped 5/10 running?

Beau Rivage is definitely the best.

The 5-10 at the Beau is uncapped and does play super deep... but I doubt there will be a game when you're visiting. Games that big are only spread in Gulfport/Biloxi during big tournaments.

There is no capped 5-10.

Bumping this thread because I don't want to create another.

I recently moved to North Florida to take a job. Part of the job prevents me from playing poker in any Florida rooms so I am looking for quick weekend getaways (or home games) and Biloxi looks like the closest.

Anyone have updated information? What room gets the most people/best action? Is it worth it to stop here or should I just be going to LA instead? Are they decent rooms when there isn't a tournament going on?

Playing mostly 2/5 although an uncapped 1/2 sounds fun if it still runs.

I have to stay one night in Biloxi next week and would like to play some poker in the evening.

I'd play everything between 1/2 and 5/10 no limit hold'em, what's the best place to do that from Monday to Wednesday? The post above me was only talking about Thurs. - Sat. unfortunately.

I have not been to biloxi in over a year but The uncapped 1/2nl game at hard rock was always good. Early in week game might not get going until late afternoon and then 1 or 2 games.

I was playing at Beau Rivage this weekend. This morning I decided to go in for a few hours before I hit the road to return home. Wow, the early Sunday morning game is incredible (8:00-10:00 am). Half the table was still drinking or looked near passing out. More interestingly though, I hear that there was a suicide that night in their hotel. Apparently it was the police chief of Morgan City, La who shot himself in the head just before midnight on Saturday in his Beau Rivage hotel room.

Another one bites the dust. Biloxi's Margaritaville Casino closing by September 19th.

http://washingtonexaminer.com/biloxi...e/feed/2150583

Guess this isn't much of a loss since it didn't have a poker room. But it is the second closure in Mississippi this year. The national trend continues.

I'm headed to a two week training session in Alabama and wanted to grab a room at the IP(prefer)/Beau(second choice) over the middle weekend but looking at rates Sept 19-21 they are running $180-260 (HUH??). I would rather stay onsite to play late night and not have to drive to my hotel, this also allows for more drinks etc. Any tips on finding a good rate or a better idea on a hotel? I have been searching travelocity/trivago/hotel sites for the last few weeks and no deals have popped up yet. There are a few offsite hotel in the $70-90 range but they are 10-15 minutes away. Further then I wanted to drive.
