1. i left a lot earlier like 8 i think. I saw glenda just come in as I was leaving. At the time seat 2 was an older black man who runs hotter then the ****ing sun. Dude is sooooo easy to play but damn, he hits everything. I wish i could of stayed, there was a guy on the table i love taking money from.
HAHA! I played with guy you are describing in seat 2. I took the seat after he left. Everyone on the table, including Glenda, was saying the exact same thing and berating the guy for being lucky. He left about 20 mins after I sat down.

i came close to the money in wsop event 22 $1500 plo. dang. i was chip leader at my table for like 2 hours and was owning shizz. doubled through eric froelich which almost knocked him out. it was the biggest live plo tournament ever. i think 1091 entries or so.

when my first table broke, i was moved to a table with jeff lisandro. i still had a lot of chips. then it was like i fell off a cliff. in the span of like 20 minutes i lost the following hands: flopping two pair v the pfr, with AA potting pre, KK potting pre, KK potting pre. suddenly i was a short stack and got it in with AKQTs vs AA96, and i'm out.

the cash games were good though. sick action. we had 2 hands in a row at 5/5/10 plo (actually the button straddle was 10, 15, or 20) where there were multi-way all ins pre for like 5-8k+. the second 5 way all in was won by 9643!

it was fun, but draining. i was there from sunday - thursday last week and only went to my room twice. both times i slept about 6 hours.

Had a 4hr session at GW in the 2-2 game. Had some swings, left up $100

I had a really interesting spot that was so 50/50, not post worthy but still interesting..

utg = super old guy, seen stacking off w. KJ on a Jxx flop 70bbs deep, nothing fancy, has yet to see bluff

utg limps, shallow fish limps, i 5x w. 810, all call

flop A38r, c/c/check

turn 10, c/c/ I bet $17, utg c/raises $40 more.

We were 150bbs effective, and I think this spot is interesting because it's super duper hard for him to be c/raising a 1 pair hand here unless it's exactly AK, it's also hard for him to be semi-bluffing unless it's J9, but he's over 60 years old so he's bluffing like 1% of the time lol, folding seems SO wrong but honestly wtf do I beat in his VALUE range? 8-3??

He did limp-call so 33 is possible, but I dont beat that so who gives a shizat. I decided to flat and fold to all river bets

river was a jack and I did the whole fake-chip grap to pretend i was going to bet to prevent him from value betting a better hand, he checked and showed A3.. yeah, pretty crazy

played at commerce first time on sat. only spent 2 hours there. first the BIs are wonky unless you got a lot of cash i guess. It was a spur of the moment trip so only had 400 on me. played the 200 game which is 2/5. crazy place man, so many ****ing tables, no wait, just action everywhere. also the commerce chips are really cool. anyways ended up down 100 after 2 hours, i tried to squeeze this old man who previously i seen raise to 18 from BB with 55, he made a PFR to 15 from MP, 2 caller, i 3bet to 80 with AQo, maye thts bad. he calls. he had AK.

ohg well, im gona put in a morning session tomorrow.

started my 2/2 strong. made some hand the biggest being flopping top set and then getting 2 callers to go AI on the flop with FDs, the flush came but i filled up.

few orbits later i flop a set, raise Sams flop bet he calls, on the turn he has like 130 left i go AI, he calls, he has 2 pair and he fills up.

i win a few decent pots and lose more decent pots. all in all i end up winning 35 bucks.

Started a new job and havent played much poker but took 3rd in the wednesday tourney last night.

An interesting spot came up in the 6th level (300/600/50). Vil and I are 2 of the biggest stacks in the rooms with about 27k. Vil is a solid woman player, mexican, in her early 30s who is smokin hot.

UTG raises to 1500, I call UTG+2 with 8d8h, folds to vil in BB who calls.

Flop - KcQc6x
check around

Turn - 7c
vil leads for 4000. UTG folds. At this point i felt like theres an argument for calling, raising, or folding, but i chose to call, and re-evaluate river.

River - 3x
vil leads for 9500. I paused for just a second to cut the chips and called while simultaneously flipping over my 8s, not even waiting for her to turn over her cards (she flashed AxJc). I was almost 80% sure I was good after her bet, but I admit confidently flipping over my hand out of turn was for a lil bragging purposes, and even if i was wrong i wanted to show i wasnt going to be bluffed.

So what did she do wrong to get snapped like that?

how did you flip ur hand out of turn really when you called her bet? i know the rule she has to show first right since you calld her bet but the money went in already, seems inconsequential.

anyways im gonna say she didnt lead from the getgo. nh

how many of you guys are gonna play the 30k in august? i think its a $225 entry. I think I am. My tourny game isnt very strong but i know how soft the field is and with some run good i think it might be worth my time.

True, however i would normally wait for her to show so I could muck/turn my cards up but I just wanted to show how confident I was in calling a huge bet(about an avg stack size at the time) w/a super marginal hand. I was basically saying, dont f**k with me - and I woulda made the point even if I was wrong.

In terms of what she did wrong in the hand, leading the flop was not one of them. She was first to act on the flop and checking that board with her strong hands is reasonable with two agressive opponents behind...it is probably more likely than not esp with an UTG raise PF. Btw the orig raiser is a regular older mexican guy who seems to final table alot (wears a cowboy hat and has a thick mustache).

Going to play the 2pm tourney today, then some cash if i bust. Gonna press my luck i guess. No whammy!

i need some run good or a new book or something, def. a break now.

****ing anothner session of up and down then finally down. first i lose to bad loose player calling my 3bet with A6 then shoves 100 on flop with nothing i call with AK, rivers a 6. I then triple up with AKhh to 600. when a few lose a few then I lose KK>QQ when he turns a set for 300. I probably should have folded but it was like 120 more to call. then I lose to another bad fish 150 with AKdd to 55. this guy just 4bet shoved AI for 350+ with A2o not to long ago.

so past few sessions....

That A6 hand was pretty incredible, how do you make 596.3 mistakes in one hand like that guy did?

he was 30% pre, and like 18% on the flop, you got him to "bluff" off his money on the flop (wtf was his plan when he missed? lol), sucky river.

i've got you beat on bad beat stories from recent sessions. here are hands from saturday night:

i flop a straight with 56s on 874r board. i get it all in vs. A8 for about $400 effective. turn 8. river A.

i call a raise with KQs and flop a pair of Kings on K57r. he bets pot, i call. turn 2. he bets pot, i call. river Q. he bets 3/4 pot. i was picking up something weird in this hand and it was all i could do to not shove for $400 more on top of his $300 river bet. but i just called. he obv tables the QQ.

i'm getting ready to go (about 1 more orbit before i rack up), and i pick up AA on the button. i raise 1 limper and get a caller from the blinds, and the limper calls. the flop comes QT7r, the small blind bets out, limper calls, i raise. small blind snap calls, limper folds. anyway, i don't end up putting more $ in the pot, when the small blind who is kind of a poker friend bets the river (when a flush completes) and i end up folding. he shows a set of 7s. the worst part was then another player piping in with "i folded a 7!".

Also MK77, this is more of a personal thing, but taking part in the friendly "check it down" agreements I think hurts you. If you feel you have an edge against your opponent, checking it down is going to be a mistake most of the time, I'm sure you could have gotten at least 1 street of value w. ur AJ on that AxxA board lol, sure he had QQ but if he's snap-folding pairs with 1 over card then thats fine, you can simply bluff more often on A/Kxx boards or barrel ace turns and stuff, again thats just a personal thing though

Yea, the sad thing is I was telling to the guy next to me who doesn't play at GW often that people in the 2-2 game will call off there entire stack with top pair any kicker on rediculous boards so don't ever try any type of multi-street bluff, we literally were in the middle of that conversation when the above hand occurred. I guess I thought he needed a real life example.
