It has to do with comp dollars and what a casino "charges" to use them. Let's say you earn $1 comp for every hour of poker. If you play for 20 hours, that's $20 comp dollars.

Now lets say you go to purchase something with your $20 comp dollars. If the casino allows you a 1:1, if the item is $15 you will be able to purchase it with $5 comp dollars left over. If the casino charges you 2:1 for the item, you will not have enough money to purchase it because the item costs "$30" or you have $10 comp dollars.

Make sense?

My bad - wife and I ate there last night (comped as promised) and it was crablegs instead of lobster. Apparently the sea roaches were a June special.

Oh well, the crab legs were good and I still got to have the all you can eat oysters!!

well if you are playing when it is hit you won't be too upset considering you would get a decent amount for room share.

I think these things are normally hit at a 1-2 because people play hands they shouldn't instead of folding.... (although it's tough to fold quads or a fold when you flop a full).... it did happen in one drop though (quads to a presumed royal flush)....

Re: Atlantic City General Discussion

Straddling is now permitted in AC. I know Revel and the Borgata have it live. It's basically double the big blind under the gun. You can then also do a blind raise (in addition to the straddle) from the seat to the right of the straddle (which I saw once or twice in person at Revel).

While these rules should be apply to all AC, just for the hell of it, anyone know of casinos other than Revel or Borg that offer this?

There is no table share for the combined CET BBJ. You get the same share as someone in another casino.

I just found out that it pays 30/20/50. I am used to 50/25/25. Now when I win this weekend I will only get approx 210k instead of 350k. Now losing 140k is a bad beat.

Re: Atlantic City General Discussion

210? How high are you expecting it to be? It won't be up to 700 in a week.
