Will be back in AC in January and haven't been in a while, couple quick questions. I'll be staying and playing at the Borgata Fri-Mon.
- For Thursday night, what hotel(s) offer the X hours of poker play gets a comped room for the night?
- Can those hours be from 10pm - 2am and still get a room for that night?
- Other than Borgata, what casino would you recommend has the most action nowadays? I figure either Trop or Harrah's but wanted to see if I should be considering any others.

Thanks for the help!

you might as well just pay the thursday rate instead of just grinding,, its not that much more,,

trop has good crazy 1/2 action on weekends,, ballys has good deep games as well,,

Looks like the Trump Taj won't die just yet. I think Hard Rock buying the Taj is still a real possibility.

Will there be any tournaments in AC on Christmas Day? If yes, will there be many entries?

Anyone happen to know what odds/limits are at craps around town? Calling has proven fruitless.

Thanks

Borg is five times odds on all their craps tables I believe (Including low limit). Don't know others.

Bally's and Harrah's have an offer
On paper, but near impossible
To get the room in practice.

The later you start your day,
The less likely you are
To Get the room.

I've only seen
Players that complete
Play by 6 AM get
The free room that day.

All the rooms have
Good games
Though it is not
Always that GN has a game.

I've gotten discounted rooms at 3am when I didn't want to drive home at Borgata. Like $100 on a Saturday

Here's how you can get 50x odds when the max is double odds at the craps table.

Make a $25 Pass line bet and a $24 Don't pass bet at the same time. That's a $1 difference. When the point is established, make a $50 odds bet on your Pass line bet. You now have 50x odds on your $1 difference.

As a former craps dealer who worked his way up to pit boss, that is a horrible idea and the casino LOVES you.

You're forgetting that 2.7777% of the time you are losing $24 in order to take those extra odds. You're better off taking max odds and adding a place bet on the point after the come out roll.

I'm wondering what rooms/times have the nittiest 1/2 games full of OMC's? I read Bally's/Harrah's during the weekdays earlier in this thread? Anyone know if thats still true?

Does anyone have any tips for getting comped rooms on a weekend? Or at least reduced price? I know it's not common for them to offer comped rooms for fri or sat night but since it's not peak season I thought maybe it would be possible.

play 30 hours of 1-2 nl or 22 hours of
2-5 in two days at Borgata. (The day starts and
Ends at 6 am, so dont play until 6:30 am because
That will negatively impact your average
Daily play)

As dipce said, it's not really feasible unless you live close by or you're willing to pay regular price for a couple days while you build up your play history. I called a couple casinos and checked their websites as well not too long ago for a random weekend in the winter and the best prices I could get were almost $200/night. AC is expensive on weekends, even in the winter.

What's your opinion on the 2 million dollar guarantee tournament coming up at borgata? Thinking about flying up the to play it, although I'm mainly a cash game player hoping that there will be good cash game action as well.

That'll more than do it. Daily average more than 15 comp dollars. (Ten hours 1-2, seven and a half 2-5.)

If you've played shorter days in the last 6 months (ish) you'll need a bunch of longer ones to get your average up. If you're playing bigger games, the host in the back may be able to help. (This is all Borgata, which seems to have the clearest, most reliable path, though who knows what we'll get once they change over to MLife.)

Come on up! They usually get in the neighborhood of 5000 entries for this one. The cash games will be plentiful in the poker room also.

Cash games at Borgata should
Be excellent for the next two weeks
Of the Winter Poker Open.
The other area casinos have
Seats available when Borgata
Doesn't, at peak hours.
(See bravo poker live for
Up to date game reports
And waiting lists.)
Think twice before you
Drive in today, due to the
Heavy winds.

Did AC ever get sportbetting approved? I remember they were trying to. I can't for life of me figure out how they managed not to get sportsbetting when the vote went through in early 90s.

Blatstein bought the pier in front of ten, the property beside ten, and the property on the inlet side of ten. In addition he owns the Showboat.
