The one at Caesar's was always my favorite.

Recommended: I would rate (based on the business they do,) the vietnamese restaurant ('Com Ga Ninh Kieu') on 1124 Atlantic @ N. Carolina (a block away from Resorts) as + 1, Borgata as +1; not recommended: Tropicana - 1 , and Bally's -1.

Just seen on TEN's facebook page (formerly called Revel) a list of execs who will be running the resort. Under the second page of the VP of Casino Operations, it says that they will also have a poker/simulcasting/keno area. The resort is on track to reopening Q1 of 2017.

On the main casino floor no less.
I wouldn't be surprised to see
Many former taj employees,
And the taj did have a
Ponies/keno/poker area.
Nice find Mr. Ace...

Harrah's AC versus Bally's AC

Haven't been to AC since I was a kid but was thinking of going to one of the harrah's owned properties since I have total rewards points and seeing if they honor the free room for 4 or 5 hours of poker offer they have on the bravo. But wanted to check out some other things while I'm there. Which is better? Which is closer to the boardwalk? Do either of them have cool clubs, pools or other non poker features?

If your are dead set on playing where you stay I would say Harrahs. I would suggest staying at Harrahs and then either taxi or uber over to Borgata. It's right around the corner and only a few bucks. You can also nit it up and walk but it's not suggested. The Borgata has a great poker room, plenty of nightlife, and good restaurants.

The only thigh Ballys has going for it is that it's on the boardwalk. That may not be a good thing as the casinos close the Marina side are the place to be right now. Harrahs has a decent club at night called 'The Pool' which is a giant domed in pool that's open year round. It's a top 40/ open format club. Borgata has Premier that's similar to most Vegas clubs as they will have an EDM act for the night and it will be mostly dance music and a more clubby feel.

Out of those 2 options I would def choose Harrahs.

Hope this helps, feel free to PM with any additional questions.

Actually, I do suggest walking between the Borgata and Harrah's. The trail along the water is really nice and if the weather is good you'll likely see some birds in the nature preserve area.

Yeah during the daytime with a group of people. I would suggest not making this walk late at night.

Which route would you suggest? I only know of the route through the deserted lot and it doesn't seem like what you are referring to.

If you go out the exit of Harrah's near the poker room out to the water and make a left, you'll be able to take that path all the way to the employee jitney stop at Borgata. Make that left at the employee jitney stop and follow the sidewalk around to the right and you'll see the entrance to the Borgata closest to the poker room.

i love that boardwalk between borgata and harrahs. if i stay over i usually run from borgata to harrahs and back along that route. really is nice. every few yards there is a little pier you can look over the marsh/inlet with and has a plaque with nature facts.

that's the hard way. exit at the Harrah's parking garage and walk through no man's land to the exit of the Borgata surface parking lot behind the poker room. Save yourself 25 minutes of walking time. following the on ramp to the Brigantine Blvd (the one that merges with the Brigantine Blvd. in front of the Borgata/Golden Nugget) saves 20 minutes of walking time. Fooling around with nature, marshes and cute little piers along Renaissance Point Blvd. will only get you nasty black fly bites. There is a reason why the bus stop and employee jitney stop is for employees and not widely advertised to tourists...(why taxi from Harrah's to the Borgata when it's only a five minute walk?)

I may be an uber life nit but I'm not walking anywhere at night in AC with $ on me.

During the day sure, but at night it's diff story. Spend the few bucks on the Jitney or a taxi.

I've made the walk between Harrah's and Borgata any number of times. Mostly across the field (short route) but sometimes on the walkway along the waterfront. Never had a problem other than puddles in the field after it's been raining. Very safe.

I've done that walk from borgata to harahs and even borgata to nugget many times and it's always been fine. The opposite of a life nit but even for normal people it should be ok.

Hey -

I was curious if there are any casinos in AC (or even PA) that would give me a players club match based on a Caesars Diamond Card or Borgata Black Card? Just curious if anyone can point me to a specific room that they know would do this. I tried at Resorts recently, but after talking to their promotions desk and to a host they said that they don't do that match outright.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Im pretty sure Tropicana matches card for card (for 30 days at least) , i dont think any other casino offers comps like trop either..

for being a gold/platinum i got 3 days at the cosmo for free , cruise package (paying taxes) and get to stay at any of their other properties comped, they also are pretty good with getting rooms on weekends if i need it,

The golden nugget in AC will give you one higher so you'd be an elite member. I started going there when they did this promotion last time and love it. Generous comps etc. Check sugar house in pa. I believe they tier match too.

Thanks Myrna and pokertrench! I'll check out trop and Golden Nugget for sure!

And I actually happened to be near sugar house and tried to get a tier match while I was there because I saw their billboards advertising it BUT they only match for Seven Stars and Titanium as far as CET and Borgata cards go.

Hello everyone I am going to Atlantic City this weekend and wanted to know which poker room has the weakest players. I know borgata has the best room, but don't they also have better quality of players and regs playing here?

Can you be more specific re "weak"? Most players won't be as good as you are if you take the game seriously and study it, but there are of course different kinds of bad players. What is your ideal opponent like?

The best way to put it is first level thinkers in poker. I don't want to show up and everyone is regular and boring game I guess.
