If you're looking for something on or near the boardwalk with a casino the Claridge at Ballys always has some of the cheapest rooms for casinos.

I've gotten Sat nights last min at like 160-200 on nights where Ballys/Harrahs/Nugget were all 400+.

If your just looking for somewhere to crash and don't mind a 10-15 drive then Absecon is your best bet.

So what's the best place for low stakes ($10 min) blackjack/spanish 21 in AC with good rules?

Day of the week?

If Sunday-Thursday pretty much all of them should be similar. I reg at borgata and have had no problem finding $10 minimums on weekdays. Weekends only 15+. However, there is 1 table that is always $5 no matter what at borgata. Its really difficult to get on, always a wait. I had someone buy my seat for it for $20 one time. If on a weekend I'm sure the not as popular casinos would have $10 min games (speaking about blackjack only no experience with spanish 21)

make sure to check the rules the lower min tables will be dealer hit s17, higher limits dealer stays on s17, many of the boardwalk places dealer always hits s17

Going on a Sunday/Monday/Tuesday. Will definitely check the rules. Won't play if dealers hits s17. I'm looking for the best casinos with low stakes tables and good rules. I'll be staying at Bally's

Doesn't all of AC only pay 6 to 5 for low stakes blackjack at this point?

Anyone stayed at the Irish Pub Inn? I stayed there one Saturday night several years ago, and enjoyed the stay. No air-cond, and no tv, but the fresh air was nice. Thinking about staying during July 4th week.

Thanks.

I used to stay there a lot, but it was years ago. Not sure what you want to know since you have stayed there before.

Showboat reopening as a non-casino hotel. Interesting.

Probably up to 40 players. But Ballys used to do a guaranteed Thursday NITE and sometimes there were 75 players.

Revel opening on Wednesday? And casino in late August?

Article is June 13th (today):

"The resort is scheduled to open on Wednesday, according to the AP, while the casino portion, Straub said, is slated to open by late August."

Casino workers vote to strike in July - affects Trop and all three Caesar's properties.

Also, Revel still does not have a CO, the city has not even gotten their application yet, so no opening quite yet...

I play all my poker in Harrahs and Borgata, I have some friends coming to visit me and we want to go down to the boardwalk. I went there once by myself but had to pay like 10 bucks to park in some random lot. Is there any good places to park for the boardwalk that are free?

take your parking receipt from harrahs or borgata and use it to pay for parking at any casino on the boardwalk.

or pay $5 at most casinos (some of them jack up the price on summer weekends).

I know this is coming a little late, but I played the Bally's $60 rebuy last night. 63 runners, very soft. Took 3rd for $366, first paid $1100.

I just got something in the mail from Tropicana:
free parking all summer!
(and I have not played there more than a few hours of low limit poker in the past year.)

I'm renting a room at 142 S. Tennessee Ave(end of boardwalk) Bally's is a 1/2 mile away. Should I definitely get a bike or would walking late at night not be that bad? Also, would the boardwalk or Pacific Ave. be safer? Appreciate it, thank you.

unless things have changed since last year, there's always cops patrolling the boardwalk and it stays lit. during the summer, no problem. off-season the ratio of 'people you don't want to run into' to 'people you don't mind' rises.

i always find it a little shadier walking along pacific or atlantic. but it's never stopped me from walking along any of these routes in the middle of the night.

if you get a bike.. and you keep it outside at night.. it will be stolen.
