Summer Vegas mix game twitter list

Hey all -

Seeing as how it was tough to get middle limit (8/16-30/60) mix games going last summer outside of the aria game, I thought I'd try something new and help coordinate starting games via twitter.

For anyone in town and interested in mix games, add "mixgameaddict" on twitter and msg me when/if you'd like to start a (or find an ongoing) game. There are often random mix games going on around town during the summer that visitors aren't aware of (I generally know of all mix games that go down on Vegas) and I'm more than willing to help out.

If you don't use twitter and will be around the entire summer and want to help start games, PM me your cell number and I'll try and remember to text you when starting a game.

Sounds good. That's about my speed (or a little higher for stud 8).

I'm looking for limit games; I see the BigO also listed on your profile. Those are spread regularly at lower limits at Rio as you are probably aware.

Games above 30/60 only ever run at rio (typically 50/100-200/400 depending on players), Bellagio (smaller game is 40/80-75/150; Bobby's room is 400/800 and up), and aria (300/600 or 400/800).

Will post info on these games as I come across them but as they are above my BR they are not my focus.

Yeah, I actually play all games but my favorites are limit mix games and Big O.

Re: Summer Vegas mix game twitter list

I would be totally down for some mixed games this summer but what is the usual mix. Is there anyway to get some horse rotation with 1 badugi variant or some triple draw. I refuse to play some mix with badeucey, badacey, razzdugi all there.

I might be interested in starting games under the right circumstances. Are there any Vegas rooms that have high tourist traffic and that don't allow iPads?

Sorry but the split pot badugi games are very popular and there are usually at least 1 and often 2 of these games in the rotation. Regardless, follow me on twitter if you're interested. Players who are there when the game starts usually set the rotation.

Re: Summer Vegas mix game twitter list

It has nothing to do with action. I have never played any of these games live before and am only decent at best. Why would I play games that I am not good at when I am far superior in many other games? I have no problem giving action in a game that I'm not good at but I don't care to play mixed games where 3 games are very similar and I am not skilled and only play 2 where I might have an edge.

i dont think he's saying you should just play to give action, but that these games generate alot of action in general and that should be a good thing for all the games in the mix.

This. I hate this stupid bull****. Add A-6 razz, 2-7 razz, and Stud hi/lo no qualifier to the mix and we'll talk about having 3 of the same ****ing stupid draw games involved.

It gives an edge to people who pay attention. If you've ever played a mix that has both 2-7 and A-5 draw lowball you will see people make huge mistakes in these games over and over ("oh, I forgot A is high in this one, ****"). In fact I guess the *creation* of a lot of these variants was for the same reason, you start playing 2-7 against people who are used to A-5 and you get a bit of an edge over them, their intuition is no good.

+1 to adding hi/lo with no Q though, or with a declare, or both.
