Is 5th a bet? Is 6th a call?

On the river I am left with 173 in chips. Should I call the last of it?

You played it well til the later streets. I get that sick feeling in my stomach when he pairs Kings. Im thinking maybe two pair, but if not, villain has a well coordinated board with paint in the hole. So I check behind, because if I get stubborn Ill save a bet. Sixth, just lay it down and pick a better spot. Why guess? Obviously he isn't rolled spades, if he came w/ the under pair your behind now on 5th but drawing live. If he started rolled str8 he either made 3 kings and is being cute waiting to c/r 6th but couldn't resist betting in case you checked. Or he caught perfect on the turn making an open ender and then made kings up. Another scenario is a pocket pair. Releasing AA in Stud is very hard for people to do. It happens often, don't get married to bullets.
Hope it helps.

I'd check behind 5th. No reads on villain? 6th might be an easy fold.

I put villain on two pair on 6th. I think if he had three kings he would've checkraised me on 5th. I see all my outs are really live to beat his two pair and that's why I called on 6th.

Question is, getting 5.85 to 1 ( think this is the right expression), do I not have the right price? I do think he has something like JTQ in the hole, probably not spades given the dead cards but I suppose he could have filled up on 6th with jacks full.

Other thing is, it's a tournament situation. So even if I have the correct price and it would be a bad fold in a cash game, it may be more beneficial to fold 6th and still leave myself with something more than the pennies I was left with when I missed my hand on 7th.

With regards to finding it hard to fold AA, it wasn't really that, otherwise I would've paid off the river for my last chips (I didn't and left myself with only 1/5th of a BB which I later stuck in with 6ATr vs a king completion).

Also interesting is that I actually went slightly behind on 5th vs a JT in the hole (48/52)

Kind of unfortunate I lost the hand and didn't have any real chips to mount a comeback.

Given your chip stack, I'd check Fifth and save the bet for Sixth depending on how the board comes out.
