My initial read would be the 7 paired the villain, and he made a 7-low on 7th, or (less likely) straightened out on 7th, or (quite easlly) bricked 7th. So I'd prefer a flush or straight on the high, but I'd be hard pressed to fold to that board if I had a made 8-low or 2p on the high side, and possibly any pair above 77. Once you've put in the complete and 4th-5th bets, don't think you could fold at this point with any of the above hands.
Any nightmare scenario like (555<777) or (his perfect-perfect 6th-7th) just seems like a cooler, bad luck, oh well.
