Pretty dead for pairs. Complete 3rd or call the bringin? Call 4th or pass? Rest of hand fine I am guessing.

Plan for 5th if both brick?

Really?

You have to know you played this just fine. You're too experienced not to.

Whole hand is standard, would maybe fold 5th if villain pairs the 6 or a, otherwise likely seeing another

I'm not fond of the dismissal.

I think if I want to improve I have to analyse even hands which seem to be straightforward.

Hence why I asked the questions that follow the hand history.

This is one of the only times I am playing a skip on 4th, all the hearts are live. Villian probably paired aces because we haven't seen an ace yet. Plan if both brick 5th is check check. Pretty standard

So even if it were KNOWN that he paired aces and has 3 to a better low, I should call 4th?

What if I brick 5th with paint and he gets a low card? Should I try to get runner runner?

Playing a skip?? What does that mean?

if i knew he had aces with 3 babies, I still peel 4th. i don't even think it's close with his current range.

on 5th against his range, just run on on PPT:

u bink vs. he binks,
u brick vs. he bricks,
u bink vs. he bricks,
u brick vs. he binks

u should form the same conclusion I form. I think 3 of the options are strong enough to continue.

Please please start running some ranges on your own, 4th street equity in standard spots is not something we should be doing for you

Come on man, you've got to see how absurd that sounds.

We post hands and are trying to get advice; it's meant to help people of all abilities improve. If it bothers you about helping someone why bother posting on the thread?

Despite my perceived reputation, experience and post count, I don't consider myself a good player. Just decent. I know I'm a winner long term, but it's not for substantial money. A few grand over more than a decade isn't much.

I have never broken out of the micros for any substantial amount of time and the highest game I ever played in was $10/$20 fixed limit HORSE on FTP - for one session.

My point is I'm trying to get better and what you're calling "standard spots" are the sort of things I'm still wrangling over, mainly because I haven't really known if what I was doing before was right and haven't had the help of a coach to tell me.

when posters tell you to run the numbers on 4th it is to help your abilities improve, 5th has the potential to be much more interesting but even when you brick and he catches well, you still are getting the right price to continue frequently, its when he catches another 6 or a that we are likely to be in the worst shape

the only time we think about folding 4th if if villain shows us trips faceup, and even in that situation we still have >20% equity

I appreciate your posts. There aren't enough posts in this forum. Does look like a standard hand.
