Softplaying in Stud8

I play in a mixed game at a club where a lot of the players softplay each other in HU pots. I don't really care all that much about it normally because I don't believe they are actively working as a team, but sometimes in Stud8 games a situation comes up-

Me and and Villain 1 are clearly going low, Villain 2 is clearly going high. Villain 1 catches better than me, and the two of them jam me out of the pot, and then check it down when it's HU. Now I know that jamming with what appears to be the best high/lo hands is frequently the best play anyway in Stud8, but the fact that they are essentially "all-in" after I fold means that the hi hand can safely jam with a lot of hands that might just fold due to ROI. What, if anything, do you guys think I should do here?

I'm not an expert or anything, but I don't see what they did wrong. One player has the best high, the other has the best low, both trying to get value from YOU because the pot is otherwise split. Once you're out, no need to bet anymore. Makes sense to me.

There is plenty of reason to bet because the low has a freeroll for the high, which is why it's a terrible spot for the high hand to be in if the low's board is threatening. But if the high knows that the low won't bet anymore, he can just capture his (and part of my) equity right away and not worry about ROI.

Well, first of all, what street is this on? That makes a big difference. I assumed it was a later street, and the high pretty much had a lock with you two battling it out for who would take the other half. If they checked it down all the way from 4th... well that's certainly silly.

It doesn't matter what street it is they are openly checking it down with each other in every HU situation. Even if both of them were going high they would still check it down, it has nothing to do with the pot being split.

BTW I meant RIO not ROI

It's a strategic mistake they are making, so as long as they are doing it when you are the 2nd carver and not just when you are the carvee then I wouldn't put up a fuss.
