PT Stud + Stars HH now incompatible. Wat do?

Recently noticed my Stud tracker aint importing any hands, found out the same was true of my PT3 software for hold them and omaha so found I had to upgrade to latest beta version, that fixed it.

But there's no support for PT Stud anymore, which really sucks coz its the only thing out there that is simple enough to use. I cant get my head around FPDB, seems like the buttons dont work and it looks real amateur.

Im praying for PT4 to have stud support, they said they were gonna have it for PT3 but nothing's materialised. I can figure out playing style by just watching but I need at least something to track winnings.

Seems we're pretty screwed software wise, it's such a bummer for me coz I mostly play 8 game and fixed limit high low stuff. I mean i can track draw games with PokerHands (idk if it works with the new HHs now tho) but having no info on stud except basically figuring out vague stuff through observation like who is a calling station and who is remotely good at poker is, for lack of a better word, sh*t.

You only have to replace all "PokerStars Hand" with "PokerStars Game" in your hand histories.

You can do that with pretty much any texteditor..somebody might even come up with a script for that.

Re: PT Stud + Stars HH now incompatible. Wat do?

probably there is a software for replacing words in multiple text files all at once but if you don't find any, download a free .txt file merger, merge all your hand history files into a single file and do a "replace all" in any text editor

FPDB works fine for me, other than not having a replayer it's pretty good imo. I think your problem is you're not selecting Pokerstars in the "site filter:" drop-down list while trying to import files (also you need to download the latest version that supports the new hand history format)

PT developers said in the software forum that there wont be any support for stud games in v.4

Yeah, this is something that is currently giving me a headache too. I can't even import from the merge network for stud hands to PTS due to the XML format.

Yeah, reducing poker to that vague observation stuff would be disastrous. Can't people see that proper poker is all about multi-tabling HUDbots exploiting fish?

Just use replace text to fix the replace all "PokerStars Hand" with "PokerStars Game". Then import. Otherwise learn SQL and Perl. Then you can just write a script to import the text to a database and use excel to view the files.

Yeah, the reason you are a losing player is because one guy at your table is using a hud lol lol lol lol lol. I will play you heads up on 6 tables without a hud on any stud variant. Also, someone like Joe Tall can play 100000 tables versus you without even looking at the cards and still beat you.

I do not need a hud to win while multitabling. But keep blaming that one person at your table using a hud for your losses. You are a losing player regardless if he is using a hud or not.

Your argument reminds me of Riggies. A winning player is going to win regardless if they are using a HUD. You seem to think a HUD makes people into winning/breakeven players, which I think is false. I also doubt a HUD is that valuable in stud/stud8/razz because the player pool is tiny.

Although, Stud is rigged since sites still allow colluders to sit at every table of stud.
