Re: *** PokerStars Stud Q&A Thread ***
I think you should just make Chinese unlimited player amount tables, and Chinese 0-1 players per tables.
That or address this situation some more...

Why do you guys think FTP had no games higher than the occasional 10/20... cuz they have so many limits.
I think Stars Limits are fine, the ante structure is fine, do not change a thing.

OK I don't mind the limits but why do you prefer a 5% ante over a 10% ante?

Re: *** PokerStars Stud Q&A Thread ***
Hey guys, little question, so I'm playin this freeroll, Sagan HORSE freeroll, ~3500 entries, and top 64 gets a ticket to weekly round 2. I'm playing this one to improve myself on other games as wel.
So we are in pretty 'deep' ~200 players left and i'm below average 150th in chips or something like that.
Now I have no idea on starting hands whatsoever in stud and I get this hand: 9sTsJs, what do do with it? since raising makes me very shortstacked and my hand is nothing but Jack high? Then I get Qs on the next street, should I go all the way with my open ended straight flushdraw (there were no spades on de others players visible cards.)
Thanks

Fixing this is currently planned, but I can't give a firm timeline at this point.

Re: *** PokerStars Stud Q&A Thread ***
Nick can you tell us why PokerStars chose to have a 5% ante in the majority of the games?

PokerStars people:
Just a reminder, the Chinese players are still an issue. Care to give us a real explanation sometime?
The thread is a great intention on your part, but the issues of substance we as a community have brought to the table have not been addressed, or acknowledged, beyond giving us a one-line response. The posters in this thread together have generated 6 figures of rake lifetime for you, we are of value to you, remember that.
What's up??

We have no reason to believe Chinese players as a population are engaged in widespread collusion.
We are very sensitive to the widespread concern and have done exhaustive investigations to ensure this is the case.
If you have concerns about any specific players, please report them to Support@PokerStars.com, and we will thoroughly investigate them.

Table Speed Changes
We are still considering changing the table speeds of our tables, and would like feedback before implementing any changes.
Below are our current table speeds and the table speeds we are currently thinking about implementing in the future. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Re: *** PokerStars Stud Q&A Thread ***
Below is a possible structure change that would apply to all Stud variants. $3$6 through $10/$20 are highlighted as they were the levels that were most strongly complained about.
Any and all feedback would be appreciated.
If someone feels strongly that an entirely consistent Ante & Bring-In structure would be beneficial (or the opposite), opinions on that matter would be appreciated as well.

Re: *** PokerStars Stud Q&A Thread ***
Definitely a step in the right direction but 10% ante > 7.5% IMO. Copy 100/200 structure as far down as you can!
Also consistent is very important. When people move up in stakes, they want to be playing the same game they were playing before, but for different money, rather than having to significantly adjust their strategy. But this isn't possible at 4c/8c, only the higher games, that would have to be the only exception.
Why change most of it but not 30/60? $6 ante, $12 bring in?

Re: *** PokerStars Stud Q&A Thread ***
Why have the most SCOOP WCOOP non Holdem Satelites, like Stud/Triple Stud/HiLo/8game, such a crappy structure ?
1k Stack 25/50 5 min Blinds. There was only one Sat with deep Stacks 33$ buy in and 3k Stack and 15 min blinds

Please don't go to 10%. Some people want 5% and some want 10%. I think 7.5% is a good compromise.
