Re: *** PokerStars Stud Q&A Thread ***

Not an ideal situation but couldn't the "winner" of the flip ship to loser?

Re: *** PokerStars Stud Q&A Thread ***

I usually just do the ship thing as a host will never ever show up... I've only done this with trusted regs, but goto NVG forum to saee how trusted some folks are.

The point is, they could add the button under the info tab. Not really a tough task.

Pokerstars stud rep wanted to know of any improvements, and I think this would be one.

At least get the mods, and hosts on the same page , as none of them realize there is not an agree to deal tab...

If it happens to you a lot it seems like you could just flip for it and it'll more or less even out

The deal button not being present in the $2.20 Turbos was a mistake on our end, and we will fix that as soon as possible.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention.

having a 'call moderator' button when you are on final tables for chops would be nice. not on all tournament tables just final tables obv. this would probably be a nice addition for all mtts though as im sure a lot of people would like the opportunity to chop.

there was also no deal button in the $5.50 razz turbo on tourney restart night. Not just the 2.20's

I decided to play a bit of stud today (which is good for the stud economy since I am a huge fish at stud) and all the tables (1/2 and above) had 2 Chinese ppl sitting out against each other. Maybe they are just bumhunting but I definitely don't feel comfortable sitting in such a table.

Nice to see $three dollar chop issues are addressed but...

Any word on some of the other issues that have been brought to light, PS people?

No option to bring it in with Hotkeys (Beta).

I think limit games are perfect to play with keyboard and it is pretty annoying to grab a mouse every time is time to bring it

Re: *** PokerStars Stud Q&A Thread ***

IMO FTP's Stud games structure was superior to that of Stars.

Things they employed:

1. In almost all cases they had a 10% ante structure.
2. The bring in was not always half the small bet, it was often less. E.g. in the 25c/50c game, it was 10c to bring it in, and completion to 25. IMO currently people are punished too harshly with the large bring in.
3. The action displayed to raise the bring in was COMPLETE and not RAISE. The proper terminology is COMPLETE.

I cannot say why I feel #2 is better than the current status quo of bringin = 0.5 SB, it just feels better.

But I can say for #1, a 10% ante creates more action and reduces the chance that on 5th street the bet will be an overbet of the current pot size! Eg This happens at 2/4 when someone calls the bring in and its checked through to 5th street. The $4 bet > than the pot!!! This wasn't so on FTP. It was less than pot.

For #3, I think it's just fitting of Stars to change the word to Complete, since it does everything else perfectly relating to poker hand procedure and terminology. It should at least say Complete on the raising button.

+1 Happened to me 2-3 days ago then both players left within a few hands of each other

Re: *** PokerStars Stud Q&A Thread ***

seriously it's an awful situation on stars with these stud hi Chinese players. They all have a very shady past. Stars even banned them from playing with each other. It's intimidating for new players, and experienced players or players that have played stud on stars know they are colluding and account sharing.

Don't add either of these games

It kills the other games

Why do you guys think FTP had no games higher than the occasional 10/20... cuz they have so many limits.

I think Stars Limits are fine, the ante structure is fine, do not change a thing.
