Now we have year 2015 and Im looking for books which ll help me learn stud formats and i assume that thru this years may be changes on book store in 'stud' section. So which positions are worth read?

Nothing has changed other than that there are a few more online/training site resources. The best printed material is still the Chip Reese chapter in SS, 7CSFAP, Sklansky on Razz, the Todd Brunson chapter in SSII and Split Poker for Advanced Players.

It seems the stud books were made before the year 2000, or there is ss2 for stud8, but it is a torso chapter, and a mixed games book by ken lo that has value as far as low variants go. Some new books there also seem to be and one can read comments in amazon, if any have been made.

Agree that for beginners rather new book "CORE STRATEGIES FOR H.O.R.S.E.: Selected excerpts from A Poker Player's Guide to Mixed Games (Kindle Edition)" by Ken Lo is very interesting. Sure not for experts.

I've always felt the the Full tilt tournament strategy guide gets forgotten about when talking about good books for the stud games. The conventional wisdom at the time was that it was LOLbad for NLHE, but the razz and stud8 chapters were very good imo (and not just for tournaments).

I'd suggest a book on theoretical physics, to help build a time machine to 1990. Otherwise wasted effort...no one plays anymore

Unless you want to play 20-40 Stud, where the game runs 365 at Foxwoods. Or, if you are able to move up, the rest of the no-ones play 75-150 Stud every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. But, on Thursdays, the 75 game only runs three tables. So, if two 75 games is your max, stick to the other days where you won't feel overwhelmed by so many nobodies.

A little after 10 AM on a Thursday and Bravo lists 3 stud games going at FW right now

1/5 (1) with 13 on the wait list
75/150 (1) with 11 on the wait list
20/40 (1) with 10 on the wait list

Wait list for 10-20 Stud -2, for 5-10 Stud -11

Mohegan has one 10-20 stud game running with 5 on the wait list

I probably shouldn't be saying this but here it goes:

- Ray Zee, your bible in now available for tree fiddy megabytes online. You should keep an eye on that, but might be to late - once on the internet always on the internet.
