You guys saw that seat 8 had a paired Q door right? Raising might get the other guy with three Eights to fold, flatting gets him to call without risking Queens Full making it three bets.

Just to make this hand all the more odd, seat 8 was short stacked. After he bet out, he had $57.00 left. I know - what in hell is a solid player doing playing short stacked? You tell me I guess.

Anything else we should know about? This makes a big difference. He doesn't need a huge hand to toss in his go-home chips. electrical's got this one right either way.

I think going for an overcall with a heavily disguised full house is playing way, way too scared.

It's not even likely seat 8 has trip Qs.

So this is a hand that I thought I butchered which is why I posted it. I ended up raising. Seat 3 tanked forever, before finally folding. Seat 8 three-bet me with his last $17.00. I lost to queens full of kings.

Then the three of us talked about the hand, and I told seat 8 that his check on sixth totally fooled me, or that his play made no sense. I figured that if he was full on sixth or had trip queens, then there was no way he checks and risks losing a bet. He played like he was afraid of trip 8's. So with my hand being so disguised, I thought there was a good possibility that my nines full were good.

Then he told me he misread his hand and was full on sixth. Go figure. His misread cost me another $57.00.

6th street should not have fooled you. The check when the Q hits says, "OH BTW, I WAS JUST TROLLING W TRASH UNDERNEATH. not!" I love it when they use deception in all the wrong ways and wind-up revealing their hand. This is like really bad camouflage, like someone in an orange jumpsuit applying to be a police officer.

30-60 stud runs every Friday and Saturday. It starts in the early afternoon (1-2 pm) and tends to break in the early evening (~8pm).

Thanks for that but we go mid-week at The Orleans since we get 6 room nights for $100. I've read that there's an 8-16 08 game at The Orleans and hopefully that'll be running.

8/16 O8 at the Orleans runs every day, usually multiple tables, and one sometimes goes around the clock.
