Stud 8/b worth the investment Stud 8/b worth the investment

After a couple years of being basically out of poker, I've started to dabble back in a bit more. With that caveat, in the past I have been a pretty successful online Stud8 player and am now in a position to travel a bit to play. My question is, does this game even exist enough to bother with trying to sharpen up on for live games?

I know the game will usually spread when a big tourney is in most cities, but aside from that, is this game being spread anywhere besides New England?

I suspect you're mostly going to see it in mixed games. In my area (Philly) Parx has a 6/12 OE game and a 75/150 HOE game. And they also have a related game 10/20 BigO/SuperStud. Also I've seen OE games on the bravo for Atlantic City. But in general I don't think a lot of places have it and it's usually part of mixed games so I'd take a look at the bravo and see what's around.

You may have to do a little searching but if you can find a regular stud 8 game or mix game they tend to be the most lucrative. So, absolutely fine tune your game, do some game research. Welcome to the club of crazy hi lo players.
