Re: Frosty the Frickin' Snowman Stud February LC thread
I've recently spread out into anejo tequila, which is tequila that's been aged a few years. It's not as complex as scotch I think, but I like it and it's a good change of pace.
I have been what amounts to beer-free for me, which is to say I have only 1-2 beers a week now instead of 6-8. On what I am sure is a completely unrelated note, I am finally losing weight. I'm at 190, I'd like to be at 175.
I ruptured a disc in my back last year, and had another that was bulging. This caused me to cease all endurance training abruptly for about 7 months. I started again very lightly in sept and was back to working pretty hard by early november. I've been keeping a pretty tough schedule since then, cycling 3 days a week and running 3 days a week. I've since dialed running back to 2 days/week because I got up to my goal length and I'm really only using running as an alternate source of aerobic exercise - although I think it's improved my cycling speed some.
Anyway, when you work out 6 days/week, that day off is *golden*. I don't think I've ever enjoyed an evening of doing not much as I do now. I had yesterday off from exercise and I:
* went home a little early
* built some legos with the boy
* played a little video games with him
* watched a dumb movie on the couch
* read a little bit
* went to bed early.
It was great, whereas when I was hurt and on my back all the time, it would have been boring.
