$15-$30 - Currently $50 in pot on 5th street before bets. Only dead ace or 6 is on board. All 3 opponents were decent. I was the bringin. No bets made until 5th, 3rd was limped

Player 1: (xx) A3K

Me: (K4)235 (two hearts)

Player 2: (xx)49T

Player 3: (xx)4T3

Checked to player 3 who bets, Player 1 check/raises

this is an automatic fold imo. Just count ourselves lucky that we weren't stuck in the middle. My thinking is that were drawing for half the pot even if we make the straight. I'm thinking that our straight outs are dead anyway.

There was no betting until 5th, why would you think he has a flush?? The aces and sixes are live...I'm never folding here

I think I usually would have bet 5th myself, although the bizarro play of Player 1 worries me a bit so it would depend on what I think of him. Really hard to imagine how he checks 4th street.

A3k. Just can't have a hand. He limped pre and checked fourth

Well there must be a way he can have something, don't see him check-raise bluffing. Was wondering about a crazy slowplay with rolled up Aces or something like that. And seems like he could have a flush as well, although I don't get why he would check on 4th.

I bet he has kings. Why wouldn't you call?

Because there is no money in the pot, I have very little equity for high lest I hit my straight (and he probably has a 4 flush), and who the **** knows what I need for low. Plus check taking two to the face in the middle just feels dirty.

He didn't have kings.

Grunching,

Aside, can't all them be decent players if no bets went in on Fourth. Whatever it's $60 to you to win your share of $170 (assume no more raises, opener calls) and you likely have scoop outs. With action as described it's really unlikely you'll see a flush.

Not calling would be at least a small mistake, but a tweener.

I call.

if he has the flush, ur losing some money in the long haul.
if he doesn't have the flush, ur making some money in the long haul.

u hit ur low over 2/3 of the time.

i find it hard to believe the a3ksss guy has a flush.
if he doesn't, u have scoop outs.
u were the bring in so he shouldn't be expecting you to bet ur low board.

Looks like a fold to me, player 1 might have been hoping to x/r 4th

Even though calling is often ok, sometimes we are far behind, and we risk getting trapped into extra bets between the 2 opponents

A lot of unappealing things can also happen to hero on 6th

player 3 is never ever ever going to 3b on 5th so we're just putting in 2 bets...

also it goes both ways...
we can be the one jamming the 3rd guy on a low draw if we hit the low and make a gazillion bets...

Players 3 can't be decent because he's betting into these boards. The heck could he have that would warrant a bet(although I guess he sees a bunch of checks on previous streets, but still...)

I was thinking Player 1 can't be decent because he didn't bet 4th street...

Player 1 could be rolled up A's (blocking 3 of 4 wheel outs)
Player 3 (bettor) could have 4 low and 4 flush, or a random set of 3's - also quite possibly taking a flyer to steal...don't know what he did when it came back to him

At any rate, no way I ever put 2 cold bets in here when I have nothing invested, no hand (yet), and no guarantee that I'm good either way if I hit. Next hand is only a minute away...wait for a better spot IMO

Rolled up trips makes the most sense given the bizarre play.

You should have bet on 5th and maybe on 4th too. As played don't fold.
