How did I play this hand?

Hadn't played a lot with villain but he seemed somewhat agg, particularly shorthanded.

When he caps 4th street on, he nearly always has 22, 55 in the hole.
In hindsight, I think I should be capping 6th too, what do you guys think?
Is 7th a c/call or bet/call when we don't fill up?

I think you played hand fine really

Can't blame you for slowing down on 6th.

I think you have to raise 6th, 2567 guy cannot have you beat and extremely unlikely 7KKQ guy has 77/K7/KQ/QQ in the hole given how action went

edit - not to mention the last guy is allin anyway, youre just getting a free bet from 2567 by raising 6th

yes raise 6th and since you didnt and you know he has to be afraid of your trips you should have bet 7th. since you didnt you must raise his bet, especially. since he plays way to aggressive.
you gave away one or two bets in this giant pot.

Really confused why you stopped raising. You have both of them basically board locked.

Is c/r better than betting on 4th given how everyone caught?

and since we have an all in any future bets discount his hand as you are head up against just the other guy.

also people will get all in here with a weak hand as they figure they will do it anyway on the next street.

Oh and yeah I'm with sfcard, definitely bet 4th. We caught way too good to c/r this field.

I assume Hero thought that aggro villain would bet anyway and he could trap a couple of people for 2 bets....

he just got lucky the guy had trips and went to war. checking on 4th was terrible. but many players always check trips.
he had raised going in and caught the best card in the deck almost and then checks? no one in there right mind should give any more action to the hand. i would have made crying calls all the way down with the trip 5's.

thats fine mickel you have to start some where. this forum is pretty good about helping newbies without many put down people.

stick around and ask questions and you will get help. try to ask ones that make the best of us come out and not ones you can just google.

Good to see you are passionate about stud. You have experts here willing to extensively discuss hands. Why didn't you raise 6th street? This is not a dig - I'm serious . . . what made you say, "hey, my AAA is likely to be beat here." Remember, this opponent capped earlier versus your very strong board. Your opponent was almost certainly not on a draw.

Yeh, I definitely should have raised 6th. Just froze instead of looking at it properly which was a slip up on my part. Need to have a reason for my action and didn't think it through here.
