Re: Boycott PokerStars Stud/Stud8 games until they clean them up

An email I sent stars today. I ENCOURAGE all of you to send them an email regarding this issue

Dear Support,
I have been playing at poker stars for over 3-4 years now. My main game has been the stud games, specifically Stud Hi 5/10-100/200 limits. I have sent emails about this before and I haven't received what I believe to be any real concern on the matter.
What I am writing about is the players from Fuzhou, Changle, and other smaller areas within their vicinity. Just to name a few, Kissyao, unlimited, hopefi22, angel77-pk, woetfh77, and all the new random players that sit at 30/60+ with no prior history on the site. Before these players were forced to play at separate tables (which I would like to also have some explanation on) I played with these players day in and day out. I played with them three handed and had a very bad feeling that something fishy was in fact going on. Their play style was very aggressive when I was in the pot, often capping every hand. I've sent numerous hands to support about this and they simply stated it was just aggressive play. I have lost a signifigant amount of money to these players, and believe that I was wronged. I am not someone to point fingers at lightly either. I am a prominent stud player in the poker community (a big member of twoplustwo, a poker coach at deucescracked.com, and professional poker player for over 5 years) I would very much appreciate any help that I can get on this matter, as many others have experienced the same thing I have and are starting to voice their issues on the twoplustwo community message boards as well as other prominent message boards. There are many threads regarding this matter, I am not the only one.
Here is the most recent thread on the topic, and definitely not the shortest one. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/20...hem-up-967693/ Within this thread are explanations of their collusion strategies, and many HH to prove it. Here Joe Tall, a moderator at twoplustwo explains how they do it. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...1&postcount=22

What happened to me individually was unfortunate, as I played the highest stakes of stud and feel like I was left to fend for myself after playing these suspected colluding players. Again I would greatly appreciate it if someone could really take a stand on this matter on behalf of pokerstars, and really help us out and also explain why the Fuzhou players now have to sit at separate tables and other countries do not.

Sincerely,
Christopher George

Why are there so many Chinese stud players?

Everytime I go on stars I just see Chinese players playing stud hi... I guess it's really big there? Anybody know about this? And they sit at like 15 tables by themselves.

Online Stud Bots?

Lock this up and throw away the key if this thread is inappropriate:

I've been playing some stud for the first time in my internet poker career (6yrs) and I find it odd that 10 different chinese players are sitting alone at 10 different stud tables waiting for action? Are the chinese culturally predisposed to heads up stud? Are these possibly some sort of bots built for shorthanded stud? I rarely see chinese players at the full tables.

I'm playing 1/2 on Stars.

Re: Boycott PokerStars Stud/Stud8 games until they clean them up

stud 8 games are not nearly as bad as the stud hi. Because of the split pot nature of the game, it prevents them to collude efficiently.

I was referencing black Friday sarcastically... it's not really a voluntary boycott...

Re: Boycott PokerStars Stud/Stud8 games until they clean them up

It looks like it also happens on ftp in razz now.

I have seen a strange play today at a 5/10 with a guy capping his J (I had an 8 and were facing an A and 3). I noticed during the hand that my 3 opponents were all from russia and so insta sit out the next hand.

I don't have the hand history here but it was definitely looking like collusion.

I had something similar on stars yesterday ..doesnt need to be collusion necessarily but i am definitely more alert if i am sitting with 3-4 unknown new russian players.

Re: Boycott PokerStars Stud/Stud8 games until they clean them up

Its really getting absurd.Like everyday there is a new account from china.
While most of them play identic styles i did find some extreme similarities in a few of them.
This is definitely multiaccounting or sharing to confuse players .Stars should be able to
review if multiple accounts get logged in from the same pc .
Its tough if you play multiple hours with the same opponent and few minutes later he loggs on with different account .
