Bellagio 20/40?

Hi guys, LO8 is my best game but as you can infer from my username, I enjoy playing--and fancy myself as fairly decent at--most poker variants incl stud. I live in Vegas and have noticed that the bel gets 20/40 stud hi going most Friday and Saturday nights. I scouted the game a few months back for like 5 minutes (I usually play at venetian) and it was 4-5 handed and pretty nitty so I didn't play.

For those of you who've played it, would you expect a decent but not great player (me) to be profitable in the game when it does get going?

I'm also in LA quite a bit. Any thoughts on the stud games at commerce?

Btw - I've played the 20 OE at Hollywood park and felt like I was one of the better players.

Yep. Bellagio 20-40 stud H game is a rock garden, but from my experience is almost always packed.

Not sure. I have vague recollections that it was 3/5/20.

So not a good (ie profitable) game to play? Or so tight that stealing antes is profitable?

Maybe yes, ante stealing is profitable, but from a general point of view the atmosphere is somewhat boring.
I think that mixed games are more beatable, because some opponents play some games in a very bad fashion. At this stud table players almost always know what to do, so it's less likely they give their money away.

Bummer, 30/60 and 40/80 are a bit above what i like to play ... 20/40 max.

I've heard talk in other threads that they occasionally spread 10/20 mix, does this run often?

Re: Bellagio 20/40?

The Bell 20-40 is 3 ante, 5 bring-in. I've played it many times in Vegas (though not in about a year). It's a very good game in my experience, loose and not many tough players. I enjoy it. Haven't been since they upped it to 30-60 but sounds fun.
