I want to relearn Stud games; I played some 10/20 2 years+ ago. I've read the usual 2+2 books. I was wondering if anyone got good ideas on where to start? I'm willing to put in work.
I'm a mid-high stakes NLHE/PLO player, who's transitioned into live and is looking to get into some of the weaker limit mixed games I've seen running and played a bit in. Plan to get deeper into TD and LO8 at the same time to do this. The reason is I've seen some fairly big limit games (up to 100/200) where even with my fairly intermediate understanding of the game I can spot significant leaks in some of the players, especially in terms of playing too passively in jam spots in early streets, or with strong 3 card draws in badugi/TD etc, and betting too thin as well as not thinly enough for value.
I learned quite a bit from DC's old series, from Joe Tall, and other guys, think Ceegee had a few videos etc. Do you think that resource would be the best for someone who learns well from coaching videos? I don't have a DC membership anymore but might go grab one if you guys think the videos are good? Or are there other sources?
Sorry for all the questions, didn't want to clutter up forum with an entire thread.
If anyone's interested in taking up a mentee on skype or something I'm cool with that too =P
