If you want to play Stud Hi $2/$4 or above, there isn't much action, but the smaller stakes seem to run most of the time and if you just play a tight-aggressive style starting out you'll do fine.
Stud Hi/Lo has quite a bit more action, with anything from $2/$4 up to $5/$10 running pretty frequently. Again a tight-aggressive style should already have you ahead of the field, at least at $0.5/$1 thru $2/$4 range.
Omaha Hi/Lo (limit) also has great action at all stakes if you know that game.
I play the .25/.50 game stud 8 and you can nut petal with great results.
It also seems like if you are comfortable open sitting at whatever buy in for stud 8 then you will get a fair amount of action. There is at least 1 reg who open-sits 5/10 but you never see anyone regularly open-sitting at the lower buy ins.
man been loving this game (and FLO). I've had better results playing limit stud and FLO than NLHE.. Even have better results playing LHE.
Only gripe with it is there are far more river sucks outs. seen more rivered full houses in the past week compared to all the time ive played PLO/NLHE...HATE that sh***
