50/100 Razz 3-way

Got stuck in the middle on this one. Didn't help that I was down 6k and tilting.

3rd street
(xx)9- Raise(3), call(6)
(A3)9- bringin(1), call(4), call(7)
(xx)A- Complete(2), 3bet(5)

4th street ($315)
(xx)97- bet(1)
(A3)9Q- call(2)
(xx)AA- call(3)

5th street ($475)
(xx)97T- bet(1), 3bet(4), call(7)
(A3)9Q8- call(2), call(5), call(8)
(xx)AA2- raise(3), cap(6)

ProPokerTools Razz Simulation
600,000 trials (Randomized)
Hand Pot equity Wins Ties
(5-5-9)7t24.64% 147,623426
a39q815.90% 95,113594
(8-8-a2)a59.46% 356,321866

Assuming the AA2 will cap, here's what my pot odds look like after the first call.. 300/1675, or 18%

The 97T's bet/3b on 5th seems bad. I didn't see this coming when I called the first bet. I'm not used to these massively bloated pots, so when it gets jammed 3way on 3rd I have a very hard time ever folding. Should I just be mucking to the first bet on 5th? I assume it's a mandatory fold once facing the cap.

If you fold, most of your equity, 11% in this case, goes to the made hand. That's why it's correct for him to 3bet.

Just fold 3rd. Unless the ante and bring make the game fat like $20/$20

Where was this game?

Definitely not folding Third. Definitely folding Fifth when it comes back at me. Not sure why any of this is a mystery.

If the antes are $5 and the bring is $10, you are calling two bets out of the bring here in a 3-handed game?

With the cards and action shown yes. Shorthanded in these games (I'm assuming Merge regulars) there is a lot of representing, the Ace has a random card range and the third man (the other Nine) is giving us a decent overlay.

But you're calling the first bet right? I'm trying to understand why not just fold to the first, since we know the AA2 will probably raise. I kept calling because I felt commited after calling the first one

You call the first one because maybe AA2 won't go bananas if he was just repping something and now has 3 good cards. You fold when it becomes inevitable you'll have to pay the maximum, which also means you're probably in third place.

Ok thanks. Sounds simple. Even simpler would be just to quit playing 3-handed.

can't see why you'd want to fold 3rd when you could easily have the best hand here most of the time, and also them having 2 of your bricks.

I think your logic is antes are small, you just have a bringin invested; why get involved, but imo if you don't want to get involved in this spot on 3rd when you shouldn't be playing 3 handed

Didn't want to give away the smoothness of my hand. I want to be able to have 987 in my range.
