blockers aren't nearly as important when villains have this many outs. In fact, no "blocker" hero can catch is guaranteed to be a blocker since we don't know which low cards are outs and which are pair cards for villain.

Yes, say 16 outs or 15,5 outs are very close. But still why should we throw away about 2% of our equity? Card that doubles us is quite probably opp's out, K is never.

You are correct. Gavrik's point was the opposite tho - he said it's slightly better to fold when you pair than when you catch a K. The difference is pretty small tho and unlikely to be the biggest leak of anyone here.

My bad, misread and then misworded my post. I was indeed thinking about using potential blockers in such situations. You have a valid point though - villain has too many outs for blockers to have any significant effect.
