15:1??? You said you raised so I assume you put 2 bets in on 4th. In Vegas the cap is 5.

so so 4 people multiplied by 5 bets (20 Sb) + a completion on 3rd mutiplied by 5 (5 Sb) (it might have gotten limped but I'll say it got completed.) + Antes which is roughly 9:1.

I guess it's close, to be honest I didnt do the math in my first post. I just by looked at it and it looked horrible. I guess its 4/37 which is about 9:1 so it's fine. Sometimes he has TT and KK so you're drawing a little bit thinner than 4 outs. I probably fold in the moment though but call after looking at it. If it gets played for only the bring (which I think it did based on I don't think you would call a completion multiway with Q7Q) then it starts getting bad.

Maybe your +ev'ness with big pocket pairs is because you hit boats against trips a lot

I said it was a massive pot, so figure completion and raise on 3rd 5-handed for 2 + 10, then 4x4 for 16, so 28:2 immediate or 14:1, and if it does get capped, which I didn't think it would at the time, I'm getting 32:3, or ~11:1, which looks worse.

I have to believe implied odds are positive b/c I can fold if he hits a K or a T on 5th or 6th and could jam him in if he'll call w/ two pair and stuff. I don't expect people to do stuff like fold KKK there; see where Mike Sexton 4-bet w/ just 999 against xxAQQ...

So, day 2 table draw featured Huck Seed, Jennifer Harman, Sergey Altbregin, Roger Hairabedian (?), David Bach, Hasan Habib, and Akio Ishii (?). I guess Bach busted quickly, and Matusow took his place again. At some point, Matusow actually apologized to me for his behavior the day before. I was stunned/impressed.

Fairly early on, Matusow had a board of 34K8, I had 5AKQ and made a 7 or 6 low on the river w/ my AKQ high. I lead the river, and Matusow tank folds I was stunned/impressed. I think this was after a hand where I also bet the river w/ a great low and AK high or something, and a good board, and the Russian called me w/ 22. Russians don't like to fold, I guess.

Matusow and Hasan are arguing about 8/b and Hasan's making the ridiculous argument that limit games aren't really poker b/c you have to pick up cards, can't make people fold, 8/b has about as much skill as Chinese poker, etc. Apparently 8/b is one of Matusow's favorite games, so he was getting annoyed w/ Hasan.

I played one hand w/ Jennifer Harman where I river trips tens, but just call against whatever low board, and she ****ing flips quads… Steve Zolotow gets moved to our table also at some point, and he was entertaining, especially sitting next to Mike.

One of the Russians at our table; I think it was the original one, Sergey, didn't really speak any English, and he looked like he was going to raise, but then said "call" and tossed his chips in the pot. Once he realized he hadn't raised, all hell broke loose. Floor came over; he couldn't really indicate what had happened, but insisted he had raised. The entire table heard him say call, and there was a group of more Russians sitting at an empty table behind mine. He called them over, one of them tried to translate, and we asked him to ask him what he said if he was so insistent he had raised. The player denies having said anything, which is ridiculous, because everyone heard him say something. I suppose there's a 1% chance he didn't say "call", but the entire table heard him say something, and if he was denying saying anything, he wasn't going to win the argument.

Anyway, now it was time for dinner at Buzio's with Ceegee and Mustafabet

This is kind of a slowroll but I was planning on just typing the first couple paragraphs and then couldn't stop, but now I'm going to go to sleep since I'm really tired... It's kind of a good stopping place, though, and increases my odds of getting to Day 3 tomorrow!!

I'm the AK in this hand. I was reading pretty well and knew that the Q was the worst riv in the deck. I nearly checked it back even but then thought that i should go for value against KK. In hindsight I'm sure it's a mistake since i lose 2 bets to the other 2 hands in his range, AQ and QQ. I still make mistakes in lots of narrowrange spots coming from HU.

Losing 2 bets on the river upset me way more than the 3outer. Still I'm about 70% sure I didn't curse at showdown.

Anyways, it was cool playin with ya, didn't know you were chipsahoya obv or i'd have tossed a sup bro out there. I def remember reading your posts in the stud forum years ago as that's the game I started on online. Sick job taking down the 10k stud8.

This is one of my favorite Stud forum threads of all time. Great job in the retelling, Chips; great comments/discussion from the crowd; and of course Chainsaw's appearance is just gravy.
