I think it's fine. The check on 5th....not so much.

Limping is basically awful with small trips. Recipe for disaster or missed value at a minimum. You can do it for balance if you get like three sets of trips in an evening and they're all small, but otherwise just get money in with the best hand you'll see all week.

I'm late to the party and I've read none of the other posts but you're beat most likely. I'd fold. There's no reason for him to check the nines (he has high hand on board, your board is non threatening, he's likely to have at least nines up). So when he checks it's frankly suspect unless he plays very very weakly. Thus he's likely trapping. He's not check raising 6th with 9s up after you checked previous street. He would just bet. He probably has 6s full or aces up or kings up. I'd fold.

Actually against many I'd check back sixth because his play on the last street was so suspect. And yes I see you have two pair.

What now?[/QUOTE]

Is completing 3rd with OP's hand standard here? The action's not totally clear with what brought it in and how many players and what cards are behind us but I feel like players open limp with split sixes and smallish wired pairs which are ahead of us quite a lot and the LA games are highly raked and I think have only a 3 dollar ante?

Also no idea if spades are live.

Since you stated that your image was loose agg. When im the bring in with a monster ( rolled, KK, or AA) I will wait until 6th to get the raise in. Maybe he was hoping to do it on 5th which is typical. But got it in on 6th. Definate fold on 6th, I feel like hero has a one outer.
