with the other 3 gone i think i had good reason to believe my aces were best and there was no obvious place from 4th to 6th where i could be beat, except for all the raising

my experience so far is that theres a fair few players who raise a lot even when they are clearly beaten on 3rd-5th. they do tend to slow down after 6th if nothing improves.

i didnt really have any reads so just assumed this guy was one of those gamblers

I am ok with most of it but after his raise on 6th I would slow down

Unless you're playing with complete monkeys, I would slow down on 5th. Very close between calling down and folding, depending on villains.

Yeah by 6th I was starting to doubt it, maybe he hit three tens or jacks. But I soldiered on. I should have slowed down by 6th but in this huge pot I don't find a fold even unimproved.

I am playing with complete monkeys though.
