Thanks. I called down and asked to use the comps at SW (the steakhouse), our final meal in Vegas. Turns out, can't use them at the fine dining places. Asked if it could be applied to our hotel bill (prepaid rooms, but resort fees, plus pool drinks, plus prior casual eats), but it can't. Had the comps transferred to the cafe, but was unable to use them prior to our 6am departure from the hotel.

No worries, as they will be there when we return in the future.

Room Report:

Stayed 3 nights at Encore, at the end of a 2 week National Park vacation with my wife. Returned home (Jersey) last night.

We arrived Thursday afternoon. I played at Aria Thursday evening, then Wynn late Thursday night. Bellagio on Friday night, then Wynn late Friday night. Wynn again on Saturday afternoon, and Saturday night.

Poker room was nice. Comfortable chairs, well lit, great staff. Dealers were friendly and mostly competent. Cocktail waitresses were attractive, quick, friendly and super nice. Chips are ugly as heck, but oh well.

Recognized some 'regulars' that were there. Most were cool, friendly and nice, but another turned out to be a real jerk (super obnoxious to another dickhead). A few professional 'walkers', but mostly friendly players.

Spent a few extra hours late Thursday night, into Friday morning, when a pro player sat down at our 1/3 game. Sounded like a bigger game broke, and she sat at our table. Was very nice, chatty and fun to play with. She was in the 9 seat, while I was in the 1, so other than an end of my session pic, we didn't have much direct conversation. She did chat up a few players at her end, and the table was enjoyable for the first couple hours. Then, perhaps because I was stuck (less than a BI), it seemed that play ground to a crawl. TOO much conversation and reminders on whose turn it was to act. Knowing I had little chance to outplay some of my table mates post flop, I did my best NIT impression and hung around until my QQ < AK, and my night/morning was over.

Late Friday night (early Sat am) session. Was about double my 100BB BI, ran it down to a small profit after poorly playing a couple hands.

Saturday afternoon short session, and Saturday night a long session to cap the trip. Saw same pro return to 1/3 table on Sat night (sun am).

Would play there again if we stayed there. I usually don't make a special trip to another casino for poker, but try to play at least a little if we are there for another reason. Seems that they are making a move (with increased comps) to get more local traffic.

Many fond memories of playing at Wynn a few years ago. Holdem at 4-8, 8-16 and 15-30. About three years ago they still had a 10-20 game with half kill. Also played 10-20 Omaha/8 and twice played a wonderful 4-8 Mixed Game.

[sigh] those days are gone, right? You only spread NL now?

I will stop in and take a peek the weekend of Aug 18.

The past 2 weeks, we have been spreading the 10/20 Omaha High Low with a 1/2 Kill game everyday. Starts at about 10-10:30 am. Occasionally, we are spreading a mix game later in the evening also. Hope you get to play when you are here.

Beginning Friday, August 10th at 8 pm, the Wynn will be spreading 6 max games. Will start with a 2-5 NL, $200-$1500 buy in. So if anyone is interested in playing 6 Max Games, come by the Wynn Friday night to join one.

Thanks. I haven't seen the schedule for the fall series in October. Is it out? If not, when do you expect to have it? Thanks again.

Was in LV for 4 days. Called Wynn 3 different days to see if they had any Limit games I wanted. They said NO -- no 4-8, no mix game. Person on phone even sounded pizzed that I would ask that. Walked thru one day just to look. Had one full O/8 game wih a list and everything else was NL.

I played a lot of holdem and omaha at "V", played mixed game elsewhere in town.

Hi,
can someone confirm the Wynn Fall Classic schedule published by cardplayer.com ?
If it's correct, there would be a few "flight tourneys" with day 1A, 1B.. a nice way to get big prizepools with moderate buy-ins (225$, 340$).
I like this schedule, hope it's confirmed (and hope the Wynn will run satellites to the Main Event)

The schedule for the Wynn Fall Classic is posted on cardplayer.com (http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tour...n-fall-classic) It will posted on Wynnpoker.com soon. For the first event, with 3 start days (Oct. 11, 12, 13) there is a $100,000 Guarantee. There is also a $100,000 Guarantee on the event that begins on October 24. That also has three start days (Oct. 24,25,26.). On October 27 there are two super satellites scheduled for the Main Event.

Thanks for this confirmation. I really like the schedule, I'll play at least two events and one super sat. Will you keep the nice summer promotions (comps)?

Glad to hear you will be playing some events. Our comps are still currently $3 an hr. We do not have an end date set for this promotion. As soon as an end date is announced we will post on this thread, Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/WynnLasVegasPokerRoom and Twitter (@WynnPoker)

Is the $3/hr comp rate for all cash games or specific limits?

That is excellent. Can you give us an idea of what your typical limit game lineup looks like (weekday and weekend if it's not too much trouble)? Or are you guys on BravoPokerLive and I can just look it up myself?

EDIT to add: I don't play only LHE, so would be interested in hearing about O8 / mixes too.

They're on BPL. Of course an answer would still be helpful because it'll take a few days to track it yourself.

Yes, we are on BravoPoker, so you can check there for the live updates. We also have an app on the iPhone that will show the live games. Everyday we spread 10-20 Omaha High Low with a half kill that starts at about 10 am and runs all day. On the weekends we have been spreading two games. The Limit Hold'em Games start at 4-8. Some days we have a 4-8 game, but not
everyday.
Occasionally we have a 15-30, but not all the time. When we are starting a limit game 15-30 or higher, most of the time we will put that on Facebook and Twitter. Hope this helps. Also, if you have any questions about games happening or lists of interest, you can feel free to call the room at (702) 770-7654.
