I'm going to give the 5/10 tables a try tomorrow. So be on the lookout for a new fish!

Question:

Should I buy in for $2,000 right away or buy-in with $1,000 so I have a re-buy/add-on available?

In my normal 1/2 or 2/5 games, I always try to remain deep-stacked, so that's what I'm used to.

True, but from what I've seen the action is too crazy. I've witnessed many pots with hundreds of dollars in pre-flop. I don't like playing super-tight or short-stacked.

I've seen billboards around Dallas about some new poker cash back promotion at Winstar, but I can't find anything online at their website about it. What is the promotion, how does it work, how long does it go for, etc.? Any info would be appreciated!

I am moving a full-sized 14x80 mobile home to the Winstar area where I can play the bigger games Thursday-Sunday, and go back home (west Texas) during the week. I'm thinking Ardmore maybe, or close to a lake also. Any ideas on a good spot to put it? I will be there next week to scout out a location. I'm looking for something within 30 miles of the casino. Surely some of you dealers know the area and could help me out.

Gainesville,Tx is 15 mins away... I'm just not sure about parking a RV there. I live in Denton,Tx which is mostly college kids *UNT* and is about 35 mins from the casino, a lake is another 12 mins south.

Thackerville itself is very small but there may be a trailer park there somewhere.

Moss Lake is about 10 miles from the casino on the Texas side. It might have some spaces available as well. It's a pretty nice area also.

I played a long session at Winstar on 3-25-11. Once again, I found the room to be huge, well run, clean, well maintained and a lot of fun. I really enjoy playing there except for the beer situation. You have to buy it, its weak, and they cut you off at 2am. I kept trying to figure out which dealer is the famous Dealer Guy. Every dealer I spoke with didn't even know what 2+2 was.

Ihad fun playing the 5/10 tonight. Lots of action. Several stacks around 3500-4000 My stack not so good. I kept running into brickwalls.

Busy night at winstar. almost all tables were full with two 5/10 tables and about seven 2/5 tables. had a 1/2/5 plo and a half and half. and a sea of 1/2NL tables. There were several 4/8 limit tables going too.

I played 2/5 and a guy at my table had about 3500.00 in chips. He racked them all up and went south with 3k and took 500 and sat at another 2/5 table. I asked if this was ok and the dealers said it is floor policy that players can change tables and take only the regular buyin and can go south with the rest.

Stopped by Friday night for couple hours with some friends. I remember seeing a sign as I was walking out. Something about "tax splash pot" day. Definitely said $500 on it. I'm guessing that's every hour?

I played two tables also. Both were pretty nitty. I made money but not what I expected.
