this whole line of posts is exactly why most regs/pros (i.e 5/10 pro's) are cringeworthy uptight tightasses

who would ever want to sit with them? its funny they want to be pro's and in turn should encourage fun loving fun environment for all at the table (to promote a lively loose game)...yet they have to be table captains...and everything needs to be super serious....where fish will be scared away...seems counter intuitive to me but what do I know....Im just a lowly 2/5 reg

And this is why I moved away from Northeast. Miserable poker players in every single poker room out there!

Is there free wi-fi in the Poker Room here ?

If not, are there any areas in the Casino where you can get a free signal ?

Txs.

There's no public wifi, free or otherwise, anywhere in the casino. Although cell signals are strong everywhere.

So funny thing...for months I went over my data because I believed there was no wifi in the poker room. I mention it at the table one day and a player told me that there was indeed wifi. I go to settings and there is a Cisco option under available networks but it has the little lock next to it. I click on it and it connects. Since then, it automatically connects me every time I'm there. The past few weeks I've told a few people about it and none of them can connect to it but my phone still does. Odd
Alternatively, several people have told me that if you go down to Wicked Good and log on to their wifi, it will stay connected when you are back in the poker room

On another topic, Who ever had the bright idea of having live music in that little corner at Shipyard right next to the poker room? This weekend I was at table 4 so it wasn't that bad but last weekend I was in the 3 seat at table six and I seriously was about to lose my mind. The female singer sounded like a drunk woman doing bad karaoke and her bald, braless bongo drummer couldn't hold a beat to save her life

I actually don't mind the music in the poker room, both the stuff played on the speakers and the live music. I do tend to like oldies and classic rock. But what really annoyed me during my recent session was the new slot machine they put in that kept playing the same super annoying 3 second tune that was very audible in the north part of the poker room. Very tilting.

Oh my GOD! Were you playing last night? It was driving me nuts! I was wondering why I had never heard it before so being new makes sense. Somebody said they thought it was a wheel of fortune machine

Speaking of annoying sounds; the ATM near the cage has the loudest beeps I've ever heard. Tilts me so hard....

Isn't it the sweet music of money being prepared to make its way over to you
(Or much sadder, to the pits)

Anyone have a sense for wait lists / times for 1/2 and 2/5 on a Friday night around 9:30? Do they let you call ahead to get on the list?

They'll probably quote you around 3 hours for either if it's a standard Friday night. Subtract from that time for people who give up and leave but add some time for general incompetence

Officially and mostly unofficially as far as I know, they don't let you call ahead to get on the list, and there is no Bravo or anything either. I have heard some rumors about people calling ahead and talking to floors they're buddy/buddy with.

I confirmed with a floorman last night that they would be willing to spread higher stakes limit hold em or limit stud on a quiet weeknight if a full table showed up to play and requested it . I specifically asked about 10/20, which they are legally permitted to spread for limit games. I'm not sure if that's as high as they're allowed to go. I suggest we schedule a 2p2 meetup, perhaps something like 9pm on a Wednesday, to play one of these great games. I have at least two friends who would be in, so that's 3 to start with. We only need 4 or 5 more for a stud game! If it goes well, we could even make it a weekly thing.

It's going from 16 tables and always busy with list, to 25 tables with open seating and everyone complaining to get more players. Just wait and see 😁

I believe the plan is to remove the slots between the poker room and the main entrance.

Stud hasn't been running much of late. I'd really love to play for fun, at 5/10 as they usually spread or at 10/20 as they told me they'd spread if there were enough interested people. Anyone want to set a time for a 2p2 TR stud meetup?

If I go to Twin River during the day on Saturday or Sunday, is there always a 1/2, 2/5, or 5/10 NL game? I cant find any online poker table trackers like Foxwoods has. (I know its off topic, but does Mohegan Sun have an online poker table tracker?)

I usually play either Friday nights or Sat/Sun early afternoons and from those experiences, 1/2nl and 2/5nl always run. As for 5/10, there's been instances where a new table is called but doesn't go due to lack of players.

Never really had issues with the dealers at Twin but tonight I had a dealer that kept kicking me. I looked under the table he apologized said he was resting his foot then did it like three more times. Then the same dude, while a player is tanking to like a $100 river bet in 1/2, leans on his elbow, closes his eyes and says wake me up when this guy makes a decision, and looks at the other players and rolls his eyes. Super long run on sentence but cmon yo wtf is that...
