i would be the first to complain, not fair to the BB when his blind is NOT raised, if its not raised, he shouldnt need to either put more in the pot or fold. u miss out on flopping monsters with garbage this way.

tightens up the game big time when the open is to $15 instead of to $8 which is bad too. otherwise people will fold hands theyll stay in with for $8. nits the game up. too much.

plus time charges are dumb ideas, slow the game up tremendously, with no incentives for the house to get more hands out per half hour. some places with time charges, less than 6 hands out per half hour. the dealer here in parx complained about only dealing 4 on his down. idiots usually claim its cheaper because theyre fish playing too many pots, therefore winning too many too. im sure many are so dumb there could be 1 pot dealt every 3 hours and theyd still claim it cost less.

Until then, the degens and grinders should rent space in their RVs like airbnbs.

Eh. It's a small place. I would guess that most people live less than an hour away

I do talk to people coming down from NH, VT, western Mass. Although those people might be going to the new MA casinos by the time this hotel opens.

Yeah - with 135 rooms it does seem like more of a checked box than something built to prop up the casino. But look at it this way - it should be pretty easy to fill on a nightly basis.

Probably enough rooms to comp the high rollers. I bet it won't be too hard to get free rooms on a weeknight.

By high limit stud, do you mean higher than 5/10? Idk who the big guy is but multiple floors have told me they'd spread 10/20 LHE or stud given demand and table availability. Then again, a floor told me once they could spread any game on demand, which is very false.

Okay the big guy just clarified(I wasn't actually listening last time). He is more than willing to run higher limit stud games but not PLO. Apparently it takes 6 months just to get licensed for it

You heard the man! I spoke with at least three players in the last week who said they'd be down for higher stakes stud. I've got myself and two friends who will play. Let's set a time. Preferably in the next two weeks before I leave for the summer.

But how am I supposed to play stud with you if you won't ever tell me who you are?

I sure wish this place would be more consistent with the rules. Especially the weird rules that are pretty much exclusive to TR. I don't agree with a lot of their rules but I really hate it when they are enforced one day and not the next

That's very good to know! I was still trying to catch lightning in a bottle connecting to their cisco network once a week.

I'll actually come here a little bit more now

I forgot to post about this lol ruling last week. The dealer only dealt 1 card to the bb. Nothing was said until it was his turn to act. Floor was called and they ruled(floor and supervisor) that he could play with 1 card.
The correct ruling always is that it's a misdeal if the button or blinds don't get two cards. Luckily we had reasonable players at the table and we all agreed on our own ruling which was to redeal the hand

MISDEALS

1. Once action begins, a misdeal cannot be called. The deal will be played, and no money will be returned to any player whose hand is fouled. In button games, action is considered to occur when two players after the blinds have acted on their hands. In stud games, action is considered to occur when two players after the forced bet have acted on their hands.

The ruling here should've been a misdeal.

That is not the correct ruling if two players had called or raised the big blind. If nobody noticed until it got back to the big I'm going to assume two players had voluntarily put money into pot which constitutes "significant action." Once that occurs a misdeal cannot take place. This is Poker 101.

Welcome to Twin River, where the players can make up the rules as they go. Lol.

The one floor here who knows what's he's doing told me the correct ruling. Verified with their book

Well the TR book is quite non-standard. Unless they've fixed some of the loopholes, well, there are a lot of loopholes. There was recently a thread on this in the live casino poker subforum. Apparently the house rule varies. Some places will let you play with 1 card. Some will make your hand dead. I think a misdeal is the worst possible ruling if there's already been action -- all you'd have to do to get a misdeal is make one of your cards disappear, ez pz!
