What are they spreading for LHE these days? Any 10-20 - 20-40?

Probably heading over tomorrow. Anyone know what's up with the BBJ? Last I saw it was ~180,000 but then I checked the site and it says 45,751? I mean yeah someone could have won it but why the odd number?

I don't know the accuracy of this, I heard some 18 yr old hit the BBJ (his share was roughly 45K), and there is speculation he did not have a poker membership card on him (they cost $2 each time you go). It appears they still gave him the money (for now I guess), but who knows what's going to happen in the near future.

I don't play there, my dad does (fairly often), but maybe someone else on this forum that plays there more regularly can confirm or deny this rumor...

I don't know about this particular case, but I've always been told that you must have the card to be able to collect the BBJ.

I was there the day the BBJ hit, it hit 3am and I wasn't there at the time but I heard everyone talking about it. It was 181k, it was hit by an 18 yr old (out of towner, first time in a casino, lol), and he had no clue that he hit it. His share was 90k pre-tax, about 63k after tax and he toked about 4-5k (after being encouraged by the regs).

It's definitely true that SOMEONE at the table didn't have the player's card, because for the rest of the weekend the floor staff were policing player's card as I've never seen before. The dealers were pretty hush hush about it, but there's a good chance it was actually the 18 yr old kid, apparently someone bought him a card afterwards and they paid everything out. I can see how regs would be upset, since if they had nullified the BBJ, they'd still have a chance of winning it. And no one likes when a non-reg from out of town hits it...

the tourney structures are fast....5k chips and 20 minute levels. If you want better structures they run tournament series about 8 times/year, next one is early Jan then early March...details on their website

Their Deep stack is pretty good untill you make it to the final table when its just so fast its not funny.

Geez, first timer? Wish I had that luck first time there (bubbled first tourney there). I'll be making sure my dad checks with ppl next time he goes up, but if you hear anything new, I be curious to know what's goes on.

Thanks for the info!!

ill be heading down today to grind while im in from vegas for the holidays

and to those who complained about the dealers a quick story

earlier this year(prob around easter) i was in town and went and played some 1/2 across from me was these 2 women who seemed to be total airheads to the point where the one was coaching the other through hands now the dealer had admonished them a couple times for working together but then comes a hand where i have the absolute nuts and the one is telling the other they should go all in i see the dealer about to tell them off again but he happens to look at me first and i make a i have the nuts hand gesture and he chuckles and lets them continue

normally that isnt right but when the 2 working together is helping the flow of the game (and increase the size of my wallet) i think what he did was great as did the rest of the table when the 2 women were away

I'll probably be back during the week. Went Saturday night to Sunday morning, played bad after being up most of the night, have to start monitoring how long into sessions before my play decreases.

IIRC, The 5-10 runs pretty frequently, and i think theres is a 20-40 that goes off occasionally. the regs will probably tell you different, listen to them.

So it is 18+ Casino, yes? Even the poker? Thank god I don't have to wait until I turn 21 to play live!
Quote

Yes everything is 18+

I don't play that high but I rarely see 5/10. They usually do 5/5 1k max instead of 5/10.

How are the stakes for Limit and NLHE? Do they serve alcohol to minors, given it's an Indian reservation?

-So ****ing ready for a weekend of bankrolling-
