Good thing you are staying during the week. Because during peak summer months the rate @ the Taj can be astronomical especially for the weekends if you intend to stay Fri-Sat. I would check out the rate at Showboat too and see if it is any better (which it probably is) and then you can walk back and forth from the Taj to the Boat when you want to hit the poker room @ Taj. It might save you some money if you do this. Either way, it's worth looking into, particularly if you have a Total Rewards card from Caesars.

Pretty sure it is $65 weeknights and $85 weekends. As mentioned though, very hard to get on summer weekends unless you have a history of playing the biggest games in the room.

Re: Taj Mahal (AC) Poker Thread

Very dissapointed with the Taj poker room...Looks pretty run down...missing drink holders...very very dirty chips, Sports betting right in the room.with Loud, screaming and obnoxious Drunks...The only upside was that the 1-2,2-5 was pretty juicy..Did very well for myself for the 8 hours I played there...and Im no means a PRO...I don't play poker for a living...after seing and playing at the Borgata and even the Tropicana...There's no way in Hell Im going to play poker at the Taj again..

Re: Taj Mahal (AC) Poker Thread

Does anyone know if the BBJ is still going on? If so, it must be close to 700K or so.

Also, any recent horror stories. I'm going to the Taj soon and I havent been in over a year. It wasn't too bad whenever I used to go, just a few bummy people wandering around. Reading the posts ITT, it seems like it's gone to hell recently.

Re: Taj Mahal (AC) Poker Thread

The girl taking care of poker rate requests for rooms is horrible. Whenever I leave a message it's only 50% chance I get a call back from her. No wonder Taj poker is going to the crap house. I just end up getting a room at another casino instead. The only reason I try again is because I like the Taj location and the rates are reasonable. I'll still keep trying but the girl needs to get her act together.
