I have a $2.50 pink chip. The cleanest one I could find of the two racks I had, and it's still dirty...

This thread makes me sad.

Thanks for all the good times, Taj folks.

Nice article.

While not optimistic, i hope the room reopens. Maybe they needed to reset, slim down the room, reorganize.

Best of luck to the Taj poker employees.

Lol both my $2.50 and $1 'souvenir' chips were so bad I actually washed them.

I have a white $1 chip and a red $5 that I found. Both were clean, luckily, so I did not need to wash them.

Never saw the black chip. I never played the pink chip game....

I heard they were reopening somewhere on the casino floor, but who knows? Personally, I think it's too late for them(except for maybe the locals who live a stones throw away from the place) because once everyone starts to go to the borgata(and I've noticed that all the stud games are there, too)I just don't see why anyone would go back. And, I couldn't imagine having the poker room so far away from the entrance/valet(Safari Steakhouse is far!) could possibly be anything but a deterrent. The one thing the old room had going for it was its location.

Whatever they do decide, I hope they wake up and get some new management for the poker room; they need someone(s) who isn't afraid to work and get involved and actually TRY to make the room good. Sadly I wasn't able to say the same about the Taj's former poker room manager; pfft, I bet half the people didn't even know who he was. He had 0 interest in that place once it started to go downhill.

*shrug*

Good post Rush. On that note, I'm going to close this thread for the time being unless/until the Taj offers poker again. Please feel free to share news and "hype" about the reopening in the AC General Discussion thread in the Regional Communities subforum.
