I believe they run at 11:15am and 7:15pm but they don't always go off and turnout is usually small. I'm not sure if things have changed since they moved to the new room. Your best bet is to call them.

Not for nothing but you can't rival the "B" for any games or tournaments however the G.N. has the best structures for tourneys in A.C . and always rolls with Guarantees. I hear there's a new event planed for 1:30 on Fridays and the leader board promo will go Month to Month.

Not to say a bad word about the Trop, my first break in joint right after the Mayflower but this is a board walk property to provide a good room to turn cards. The skill levels will run a full spectrum from stumbling drunks to sharpies who will grind out the bankroll The new room is clean and comfortable, your profit depends on skill and luck...

The new room is nice, but they failed to update the tables with USB ports, and they unbelievably don't allow food in the room at all. Hopefully those two things will change.

Going to be at Tropicana for a few hours (for a non-poker related engagement) tomorrow. How many hours of 1 2 do you need to play for free parking?

Going down to AC on Thursday. Do these morning tourneys run?

It used to be 2 hours when they used to come around and "zap" your card. Since they actually swipe you in on Bravo now I'm not sure if they still have the 2 hour requirement for people with no Trop Advantage card or the lowest tier card.

Perhaps someone who plays there frequently can chime in and let you know.

No worries then. I definitely gonna play more than 2 hours...

For the record, the necessary amount was around 4 hours (500 Tropicana tier points).

That has been going on for about 2 years.

Just moved back to the area and I decided I would ask the grandparents to watch the kids so I could hit AC for some poker. Decided to give the 11:15 tournament at the Trop a shot. I would usually go to Borgata, but the summer poker open was going on. I thought about the Golden Nugget but decided on the boardwalk because I thought at some point I may check out the Hard Rock.

What a mistake that was. I get to the poker room at about 10:00 and tell the sup I want to register. HE says registration starts about 10:30 and I'll need a players card. Standard. I go get card and come back to room. Wait around until about 10:45 when a different sup tells me they haven't been getting enough runners. WTF? The first guy couldn't have told me that?

I sit down at a 2-4-6 gamer and it was terrible. I felt like I was at a home game in someones basement in Philly. Dealer making mistakes like crazy, guy to my left wouldn't shut up and was a misogynistic pig, calling every dealer sweetheart, babe, commenting on the servers looks, etc...Someone should tell him it's 2018. I played one orbit and left, which was annoying because I paid to valet, but figured I would rather eat the $15 and still have fun.

Hightailed it to the Nugget and late registered for their tournament, which was actually a nice structure. Busted with 77 vs 1010 and jumped in a very soft 1-3 game. Left with triple my buy in and had a great time.

Will never go back to the Trop.

Sorry you had a bad experience, but thanks for the trip report.

Sad to hear about the dealer errors. I've always had great dealers on the rare occasions I get to play at the Trop. Glad that you had a better time elsewhere though.

Is the parking free at the Trop for the Summer?

Also do they do any slot play and/or tier matches for other casinos' premium cards (I got Diamond, MGM Gold, and highest Ocean and Hard Rock tiers)?

Thanks a lot!

$10 to park mid-week, $20 on the weekends (I think). No tier matching at all. 2 hours of poker used to get you free parking...it may be more now. With your Diamond card you can park for free at Caesars and walk down (10 minute walk).

What does it take to get a comped room through poker here? Possible?

If your average daily play is over
5 hours of 1-2 , you'll see comped
Rooms. They look at your last 12
Sessions. If you play
2 or more Consecutive days,
This counts
As one session.

Does anyone know if Tropicana has a bonus for tier credits earned in a 24 hour period?

Sort of like Caesars does?

If they don't go with boarders and play 9 handed they will over take the borgata and harrahs combined. They used to be the biggest in a/c they have a big chance to do it again if they're smart.

FWIW two Trop dealers I know have not been told that a reopen date has been set. And the Trop has taken down that tweet that said the date is May 14.
