Hmm, that could be. I was also thinking that even if you think there is no difference between 1-2 and 1-3, the change doesn't make sense unless you're thinking of lowering the max buy-in to $300.

The Mirage crowd probably wasn't buying in for max, so a higher max means nothing to them.

Wouldn't some players find the higher max intimidating?

I was at TI a few weeks ago and the floor manager said there target is going to be former Mirage players. I think thats the main reason they dropped the rake and BB.

Cause it sure feels like TI's poker room could close at any minute.

I have no idea. But the Wynn had no problem keeping their 1/3 with no cap packed. It wasn't until they put caps on that business fell off. Well, that and getting rid of the peach chips.

TI doesn't have any games running right now. Maybe they could get Mirage regulars but I suspect those players would go to Venetian and Caesars which are nearby and also have 1-2. Good luck trying to compete with those rooms. Plus a bunch of other rooms have 1-2.

They probably had a better chance at trying to steal players who were frustrated about Caesars switching from 1-3 to 1-2 and lowering the max buy-in.

I would think having no cap would be attractive to sharks and regulars who would take advantage of weaker players in those games. Also, didn't the Aria open around the time Wynn added their caps? It's been a while so maybe I don't have this right.

It's a drawing based on cash play, then the drawees play it out for that $10k in a freeroll tournament. Didn't see a reference for getting paid to play, but I just did a quick look at the TI poker website, so somebody can add info on that as they know it.

Every time I check Bravo they have 1 game at the most going. Every once in a while 2 games. Tough to play that many hours with limited action

Mid strip poker rooms have been busy this week with all of the construction guys in town. I would think TI would be good too being close to the convention center.

I played this game the other night and the rake is 10 percent up to $4 plus a $2 promo. $6 a hand with quite a few $100 stacks in the game. How beatable is this game with the amount of money coming off the table every hour?

Is there ever games here? The promo seems pretty cool but I usually see 0-1 game on Bravo. Am I missing something?
