Weds - Saturdays are good with the high hand promos.

I wonder if the new rake has hurt the amount that dealers are getting tipped.

1) There are promotions. They have 24-hour high hands, 6 periods a day. You get 55 percent of the rake in that time period. Friday night, the amounts were $1,500, $1,500 and $1,300 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m., 8-11 and 11-2.

2) And, most importantly, the players are just awful. They suck so badly it makes up for the extra $1. Parx players are awful as well, but the extra 25-minute ride each way makes up for the $1.

Also, I haven't heard a complaint from any dealers.

Friday night, every table was in use and there was a 100-person wait list for $1/$2.

Dealers are the real winners in these high hand promotions, they take the money from the players and give it back to us in increments but the dealers are freerolling an average 5-10% of the promos through tips.

Not sure this is so...while i do think the high periods do increase volume to the room 10% increase in tips is a little much , sure the occasional high hand will render larger tips , you still have the same strings and tips are relevant.....

More dealers will get tipped tho................

I think what Kyle meant was dealers who deal a high hand are getting tipped after the high hand is paid out. They are getting $50. $100 and maybe sometimes more if a person walks out with $2500 in high hand money.

Sugarhouse would have 20+ tables going 16 hours a day, 7 days a week if the rake were $4+1. Someone needs to take a class in pricing theory, profit maximization, or maybe just basic economics. Demand would be sooooo much higher with proper pricing.

Going to play here in a couple weeks. What's the neighborhood like? Safe to walk around late at night, etc?

where would you be walking to that you don't already know the neighborhood? there aren't any hotels around that i can think of. unless you're going for food or something... uber/taxis or drive and park in the free parking deck

Three posts, all complaining about the rake or bad beat drops.

I see these rake nits all the time (unless it's the same person constantly creating new accounts) and I don't understand the obsession. You think the rake is too high, don't play. It's not a difficult concept.

If you really want one go to Schnectady NY and they will match. Not sure how long for.

Rivers in Schenectady is matching premium cards from "regional casinos". I don't know if they consider AC part of their region. I'll find out next week when I attempt it. They're doing it until the end of March.

Don't hold me to this but I think I saw about 3 tables last Saturday morning. Also - as an update. I was pretty happy with Sugarhouse overall. I am going to keep coming back on weekends I am free. I played 2/5 but will check out 1/3 at some point as well if 2/5 happens to be a nit fest

How is the 2/5 here? I've never played it. 1/3 is pretty good. Descent amount of action, not too many short stackers the times I've played

Sugarhouse should give out these hoodies to everyone that plays 60 hours in a month. Poker needs to be constantly promoted or it fizzles out.

Can anyone advise on where to find a structure sheet for the $200k guaranteed running @ Sugarhouse middle of march? Appreciate it.
