I hate to always sound like I'm pimping this place out but I don't know why anyone would play anywhere else in Columbus. The structure is insanely player friendly.

I agree, the tournaments and cash games are great. Just crappy dealers!

Why do u say crappy dealers? I have always thoughr they had pretty decent dealers.

They are just shady man, i don't like playing against people who work at the same place as where they play. The candy is always stale too.

yeah, that horse game with no rake = yummy... too bad real life seems to be getting in the way of me playing a lot

I know a lot of people that are expressly not playing because they are using ****ed up rules. Next time you are in, pick up one of the fliers that lists the rules and read carefully.

They play that a fouled hand will pay 6 units to other hands but then still compares line-by-line with all other hands and pays / gets paid for winning lines. This makes no sense whatsoever and ruins the strategy of open face Chinese poker.

My guess is that someone read the rules online and misunderstood how fouled hands are to be handled. Unfortunately, they made it an official rule for the tourney.

I'm not trying to bash the club and I haven't observed any. Numerous people have talked about it and I have heard a few stories about a few things and that is that. Maybe they all just happened to coincidentally tell the same stories, and maybe some are true and some aren't and maybe none of them are true. Regardless I should've clarified.

When I played there, the dealers all knew each other and were friends. I was in a hand with a guy who delt there and he mucked his cards. When I turned over my hand he tried to get them out of the muck because he had me beat. The dealer let him get his cards out of the muck. He took a 475 dollar pot. No one said anything about it because he was a dealer there.

What is the typical buy-in for the 8-16 limit horse game? Is $300 reasonable? Or is it mainly $500 - $1000 stacks?

i buy in 500. all you have to worry about is the remote chance of playing a capped pot, which is 12x big bet (unless heads up).

$192 is the most in a fully capped pot on all streets in one hand, right?

I generally buy in for less than 200. I'll probably sit with 100 tonight after I inevitably bust out of the Bounty tournament.

They've been pretty consistent in getting a 1/2 game off on Mondays around 3:30 or 4. (advertised as starting at 3). Same on Fridays.

I also heard that the 8/16 Horse on Sunday went all the way to 4am last night so that's promising.
