Yea both of our replies got deleted, not sure why? Maybe the moderator works for the casino lol. And yes people don't realize that the casino was the worst possible thing long term for the poker players in Columbus. They have raked nearly a million dollars from the poker community in the first month.

Anyone going tonight? It's $100 bucks (110 if it's your first time) and you get a decent starting stack. If I can only play one tournament in the week, this is the best bang for the buck.

34 runners for the $85 last night, finished about 7th, only paid 4. Heading down for the $4K guarantee shortly. The next two weekends have 5K and 6K guarantee tourneys.

Did you go deep in the 4K? I was there just curious if we crossed paths/who you were. I plan on being there for the 5K for sure and maybe the 6K.

No, I busted out kind of early. I made a bad call with AQ against AK and couldn't recover. It was a bad spot where a guy shoved and I didn't need to call, but I had him covered and there was some dead money in the pot. Still, I should have folded.

I believe Nick is the son of one of the original owners and based on the limited amount of sports memorabilia left on the walls it would appear he is no longer involved in the club. This is purely speculation

there was more than one owner. perhaps the one whose grandson was nick had some sort of reason to exit the business, sold his stake and hit the road? and they changed the name accordingly? but honestly, who cares?

Yeah but now that the Hollywood tournaments are up and running, I'd probably expect this to drop a bit.

maybe, but not as much as you'd think. a lot of the tournament field consists of old dudes who are all buddy buddy.. they may keep the games afloat based on friendship, the universal bond that binds us all.

Very good structure, 30 minute levels, late reg and re-entry available. If you have your aces cracked during the tourny you get $20 (I think there are more cash bonuses that you can qualify for). Overall very player friendly especially the low player fee

8/16 Horse had 2 full games running all night again last night. Saturdays are a $5k guar. with avg of about 45 players each week. 20,000 chips and 30 min levels. Starts at 11:30 a.m. with late reg. til 3:00. Usually ends around 10pm so very deep and player friendly. Nick was the son of a previous 'silent' partner who sold his share but shark tank still has the same owner.

All the tourneys at the tank have a bonus board with winning hands from aces full of jacks to royal flush paying $25-$575 and aces cracked paying $20.

I hate to always sound like I'm pimping this place out but I don't know why anyone would play anywhere else in Columbus. The structure is insanely player friendly.
