Horse on Wednesdays, Omaha 8/Stud 8 on Thursdays and O8 on Sundays. All 10/20

They just did a 140 buyin 5k guarantee that drew 185 entries. First place alone over 5k

Does the Dealers Choice game on the website actually run and what's the rotation? does anything like 2-7TD/Badugi/etc ever get added into the rotation if so?

It’s not a Dealer’s Choice game. They play HORSE (razzdugi instead of razz), triple draw, and badugi. It runs on Wednesday nights.

oh cool, thanks. I think I'd make the trip just to see RazzDugi spread alone.

I've played in the Wednesday night mixed game sporadically. I can confirm that RazzDugie has been spread before, although I'm not sure it's part of the regular mixture. If the table agrees they'll add it in.

As far as a Saturday dealers choice game, that must be something new that they are trying to start. It did not run Saturday if they were trying

Razzdugi rather than razz has been a fixture for at least a year, I think. I don't hate razz or anything, but razzdugi was generally more fun and more interesting than razz the dozen or so times I've played it.

I forgot that they have had a game listed as "dealer's choice" on Saturdays and had just assumed you were asking about the Wednesday game, sorry. I don't know enough about that to provide details.

I don't think I've seen whatever that 'choice' Saturday game is run very often, as it's a very specific group of players that start the game and they're not always there. I've seen it get off maybe two or three times in the last two or three months, and I don't think at all in the last month? I wouldn't expect to see it and was surprised to see it listed on the website. Doesn't mean it won't happen, but you can probably call the club before heading out to see if it's going to run. As far as I know, that player group lets the club know they're coming earlier in the day so they can get an extra dealer in for the evening.

Looks like the web site for the club is down. I'm hoping they are going to survive this shutdown. I had just started playing there again after a long time off. I was happy to see how well the club was doing.

I think it just lapsed for a day or two. Looks up for me too now, but it was unavailable when that prior post was made

I’ve said this hundreds of times, I really think the tank will be around even if the casino poker room is shut down. As long as people play live poker, I think they will be around. They should have minimum expenses with few (if any) paid employees. They don’t have extravagant chairs, tvs, tables chips etc. Rent and utilities seems like the biggest expense unless I’m missing something. I think they do a pretty good job overall too. The location is safe but it’s not super convenient for people on the east side, if I were to critique anything it’s that.

I’m curious about what will happen with the wsop funds. hopefully they decide carefully because the tank regs I know complain about everything

So it's my understanding this place has been reopened since June 22nd. I wonder how they are allowed to still operate but the state supposedly won't let the casinos reopen their poker rooms? Are the Ohio casinos lying to us and it is actually their choice?

I think it is because the Tank operates as a social gaming club.

I'm almost 100% sure that the casino is allowed to open their poker room, from a legal perspective. They've just chosen not to.

I thought this at first and I am kinda skeptical...

Idk how they can stay open must be a loophole

If you go to the coronavirus.gov responsible restart Ohio casino the 4 must remain closed (this was updated on August 10th) valet, coat check, poker, live events (concerts/banquets)

There is a gaming commission meeting on the the 19th per their website.. maybe we should directly go to the gaming commission and ask their plans on opening poker in ohio

Here in Cincinnati I was told by multiple employees, dealers and supervisors, that they have one table set up with plexiglass so it could be inspected by the health department and gaming commission. I have seen the pictures online of the table set up. It has passed way back in June by the health department and gaming commission. It is the governor's office holding it back.

Hi y’all. I’ve never been to the Shark Tank. I’m from Cleveland. Since no casino poker and all the home games I play in at won hold due to fear of pandemic, I’m thinking about coming down Friday or Saturday. How does this work? You pay an entry fee? Take? Etc. Thanks in advance and thanks for your money
Feel free to PM answers to these questions if you don’t want to derail this thread.

You pay a daily club fee for access to the club ($25 for cash, 10-15 for tournament entries). After that fee, there is no rake.

Cash games are $100-300 max OR 75% biggest stack. Currently running 4-6 games per night

So $25. That’s it? Not bad.
Are the games as soft as at Hollywood?
I plan to get there when they open at 2 on Friday or noon on Saturday. Maybe even both days.

Game was so soft. Filled with a bunch of mouth breathers. So much mindless betting into the nuts or calling with hands so weak they should’ve been folded pre. Guy two seats to my right telling y’all tales about how he used to make thousands a day playing in Vegas. Meanwhile he’s playing $1-$2 in Columbus. Such good games.

How many players per table? Plexiglass or no? Masks required?

8 players (7 donkeys and me). That’s probably because of the plexiglass. You don’t have a lot of space. Some of the donks were fat and crammed in their space. Masks required. The dealer button is a bottle of sanitizer. The chips are cheap, crappy chips and filthy. And they use poker sized cards. Who uses poker sized cards? WTF?
Worth it as the competition is soft as hell. I recognized a few donks who I’ve raked over the coals at Hollywood.

Shark Tank is making an absolute killing since the Ohio casino poker rooms have been so slow to open. Heard they bought one of the units next door in the strip mall and planning to expand. They've already dialed their hours way up.

Great room, management, dealers, and ridiculous action.
