It's 9:30am and, according to the Bravo app, the wait list is 60+ deep for 1-2 NL & 50+ for 2-4 Limit. Gonna be another LOOOONG wait Saturday.

Bump. Looking for some feedback as to how the games have been this month before I come down again. Thanks.

Pretty much the same as you described before. LOTS of short stackers grinding out their 50 hours for $500 dollars and also trying to hit high hands.

Seriously. People treat that high hand like it's the holy grail. I never at any point when I'm playing even really have it cross my mind. The chance of hitting it is just simply too low for any individual player and in 10 years of playing I believe I've hit one once. No joke I folded a set of 9s this week on a board of Q-J-9-A because this nitty lady who raised preflop bet 50 on the turn and I was already short stacked. Why in the hell do I call there for a one outer when I know she has either QQ JJ or AA because I know she doesn't ever raise preflop without a big pair and she isn't betting KK there. Also let's not forget quad 9s isn't holding up more than half the time at 3pm with 30 something odd tables going. She had AA by the way..

Weekend lists are maddeningly insane. During the week you can find open seats, or at worst a short list most times of the day.

I played there today and from about 9am on the lists were terrible, usually at least 50 waiting for 1/2 and 30 or more for 2/5. The $10 per hour to play promotion, as generous as it is, has totally messed up the room. And the little slick tournament has made it worse. Expect to wait long hours to play during the week and on the weekend

How long does it take to seat a waiting list of 50? When I visited the longest it got was 15-20 and that took maybe 10 minutes to be seated. Are you literally talking multiple hours to be seated or is that exaggeration?

P.S. I'll be arriving in Tampa in about a week. Guess I can expect to run into a lot of you folks in the future

You can check the lists on the Bravo app and get an idea how bad it is. Right now at 5.45pm there are 103 on the 1/2 list and 44 waiting for 2/5. That's about how it was all day today and most of the other days this month between 9am and 9pm weekdays. It is much worse on the weekends if you can imagine that. You will have to wait at least a couple of hours to play. Next month the Promo will be lousy, just high hands, and the room should get back to normal, but not before then.

Yeah I've seen the lists on Bravo... it's just absurd. On Sunday at noon I saw like 100. And Saturday evening it was close to 200 I think. But I was just wondering how quickly they tend to get through these lists. Like they seat 30/hr, 50/hr, what's a good estimate? I have a super small sample size from my visit there and it seemed pretty fast, but then they didn't have any crazy promos.

I'm arriving the 25th. I'll be unpacking, getting a driver's license, stuff like that for a few days, so I don't think I'll be able to hit 50 hours in July (I *could*, but I'd have to play 10 hours a day from the 27th - 31st), and from the sounds of it I'm better off just waiting until August to start playing anyway, so I'll probably do that and avoid the insanity.

The 1/2 moves pretty quickly during the evening, as they have more tavles open and are opening more as tournaments wind down. During the late morning they seem to take longer to get theough because they aren't opening many tables. You want to get there before 8 am if you dont want to wait forever. I'm not sure how it will be next month, though.

I dont know about 2/5, as that isn't my game. As of now at 1045 am, theres 40 on the 1/2 list and 20 on 2/5. It was worse a few hours ago before they started opening tables. And since so few tables are open at that time, the lists obviously move slower.

Why not go to Derby, they have 1/3 with 500 max.

Derby is my normal room, but I couldn't resist that additional 11/hr this month. HR is a better room though with more game selection, and I'm liking it so far for the most part. At times late night derby gets to the point of "play at this table or don't play". That 1/3 can be very very juicy, though. Im still undecided about next month.

Admins if this violates terms please delete, but it's not about a specific person so I think it's ok.

If anybody from the THR management still monitors this board, how can you justify the shameful way you treat your dealers?

Specifically the point system where it does matter if you are sick, dying, throwing up, passed out, have the flu spreading it to your player base, how many years you've worked there, how many shifts you volunteered when called in-- if they miss parts of some small number of shifts in a year (7 I think is the number) for any reason whatsoever they are ****canned on the spot.

The dealer pool has been very good as of the last few years. Why are you forcing good dealers who get sick or some other legitimate excuse out? Why are you insisting on subjecting your customers to disease forcing sick dealers to work?

They're hardly the first casino to have such a policy. And I'm pretty sure that's a casino-wide policy and not dealer-specific, so even if someone from the THR room read this, he doesn't make the policy so what is he supposed to say?

Im not sure, that's why I'm asking. I don't play much at other casinos, at least not regularly. I am a regular customer there. Even if how they treat their customer facing employees is not my business, forcing customer facing employees with contagious illness to work is.

i wish more casinos with decent number of games offered $10 per hour, im not in florida to be able to do it. but theres no excuse for not immediately opening new tables once theres like 8-9 names on the list. sometimes im in rooms which is good trying to open new games once 6-7 are on it.

You do realize the dealer can be in perfect health and you are still surrounded by 8 mouth breathers that suffer from a common cold, flu, tb, ebola.....etc??

I'm surprised HR gives dealers 7 sick days a year......Gotta have a plan in place to prevent snowflakes banging out every time they get a tummy ache.

I mean, the excuse is they don't have enough dealers at that time. If they have the ability to collect extra rake, they'd love to. They're trying to be efficient, and they can't always predict what the mark will be and can't always have enough staff on hand. I heard multiple dealers actually quit this month because it was so hectic.

It's nice hypothetically, but I promise you, the games there have been BY FAR the worst ever this month. Total short stack/nit fests and people just sitting there waiting on AA/KK/QQ with $60.00 stacks or else they aren't playing/calling anything. Was planning on just grinding out the 50 hours, as honestly it is an amazing deal, been there 4 times this month, and 3 times have just been beyond the biggest snoozefests, even tried table changing, same thing everywhere......Sat there for 3 hours last night, not even exaggerating, 90% of the hands raised, weren't called, the 10% were, usually folded to the first continuation bet unless they had a monster, don't think I saw more than 2-3 pots or so in the 3+ hour session that were over $100, had a friend at another table and he said it was the same thing..... Like I said, was planning on grinding the 50 hours, but after playing about 15, it's just not even worth it.

If you want your promo money, sit there for 50 hours and get it I guess, but if you're even a remotely decent player, just go to the Derby or Silks and I promise you, you'll make way more than $500 if you play 50 hours in those games vs these nit fest.....

Play 4/8 or 6/12 O8 then. Surely way more action.

YMMV and table selection.

I was also there last night and my table was opposite of yours. 4-5 stacks of $300+ with two OMC short stackers getting their time in fit or fold fashion. Multi way all-ins and players rebuying for $200. Randoms coming in and burning their buy-ins chasing. Nits coming in and asking for table changes because of the "crazy play" (you know the type who whine "it'd be nice to see a cheap flop.") Most hands were raised pre-flop and go multi-way through the turn.

The good tables are there and with so many tables running there is no reason to glue yourself to a bad table.
